Lightning Bend Park

This place is an easy little walk/ hike and exit from the world. It's plethora of fungi and vegetation is amazing! Take a little break here and just sit and listen to the animals, watch the deer, fawn over the birds and smell of fresh air. Dog-friendliness: Our dogs love walking and playing with us on these trails! They come home tuckered out after our time spent out here! Picnic area: Pick a spot in any portion of these trails, pond side, right off the trails, in the woods, at Picnic talks! You have options!

Would be the perfect trail for walking your dog without the disc golf stupidity. Can't wait till the trend hopefully dies out and I can walk my pets in peace here again when they remove the course.

Good park for a fast walk in nature!

I used to LOVE this trail for Running and bring the dog to... But getting closer to fall, it's becoming more unsafer, each day... I was just there at 6 today and had a branch or tree fall 75-100 yards from me almost to the end of my run, I was on the trail trail and it was on the bike trail/by river.... I'm post a picture of a unsafe tree that's barely holding up against another tree that's been there alil bit, out of afew more that are down and or very close to falling over on trail one of these days... I'm thinking today is the last rest of the year. The worst I've seen it

Smash Park is an awesome tribute to the young man that played the trees before his passing. I always enjoy the rounds of disc golf that we play when we're there. It has restrooms and a nice gazebo for gatherings. Bring bug spray.

I don't know about the nature trails, but the disc golf course is awesome. And you'll never meet better locals. If you ever have the chance, I'd highly recommend this place.

Then going to lightning Bend just about all my life. Now that it is a park is even better. They have frisbee golf period a nice swimming area with benches period and a covered place to have picnic tables and Grill. And the restrooms.

Quiet park in the woods with lots of Walking and Biking trails. Good parking with a very large parking lot. Public bathrooms and a gazebo with a huge disc golf course. Also has views of the flat river.

They are building a Disc Golf Course Called Smash Park 9 holes in the trees nice fairways.
