though there is a high quality in atmosphere, the food quality is mediocre and priced slightly higher than an olive garden where you can get what I would consider better quality food. wine is good and priced reasonable if you buy the flyers4 glasses at a time. Over all not a 5 star restaurant but great atmosphere for a first date or just to hang out
This place used to have some of the best food in town. They used to have really refined tapas portions that had fresh and balanced tastes to the last bite. Now it's overpriced heavily salted and unrefined. The appetizers are still a B, but every entre was D quality. The staff was not well trained either. None of my family could finish their meals. So unfortunate to have to spend that much money for that quality of food.
We found out that every Thursday evening, The Wine Guy Wine Shop in Pickerington now has live music on their new patio. They are bringing some of the best of Columbus's local bands to play during the dinner hour. It was so enjoyable to have an incredible meal while sitting outside in the sunshine listening to some really great music.
After trying to call several times and no one picking up, I decide to go in to the store. It took about 10 minutes for me to even be helped. The woman running the winetasting was the only one who seem to care that I was not being helped. After ordering a cheese plate to-go, it took 30 minutes for it to be prepared. Yes, cheese. Not friendly or helpful. That is too bad, I remember this being a great place.
What a jem located off of route 256. The wine selection is massive. I had the crab cakes and my girlfriend had steak. Both were excellently prepared and worth the price. We had a cab flight and then ordered a bottle of jlohr....they only charge a corkage fee and not the usual restaurant markup on the wine. If you are in pickerington you must give this place a try.
First time here and it was a great experience. Food was delicious and the bartender and gm were very welcoming. We will definitely be back.
