I've been here a few times, and each time has been a really good experience. It's very centrally located, and I didn't have to wait too long to get in. Jennifer Miller is really great and listens to me, and then she asks if there's anything else I want to talk about or have questions about. Everyone else there that I've talked to has been very nice and helpful.
Let's be honest here, no woman really enjoys going to these kind of apartments. The people here are pretty awesome in making the experience a little less cringing. Very kind and down to earth people. Highly recommend this place for any female health care needs or concerns!
My experience this year was horrible, I Should have gone someplace else after Dr. Lebleu left. Jennifer Miller won’t send my blood work elsewhere all because she thinks she can diagnose me with a problem that I haven’t had in all of my years of having exams! I won’t go back there!!!! I have called numerous of times since my visit and they don’t return phone calls!!! I won’t ever go there again!!!!!
Will definitely not be back to this place. I went in for irregular cycles and bleeding for over 50 days. Not only did I have to wait over an hour in the waiting room and then unknown amount time in the room. The NP completely dismissed everything I had to say. Laughed when I said I wanted a hysterectomy. Immediately went into the whole weightless spill. Trying to prescribe wegovy or ozempic she Continuously talked to me like a child. Could not comprehend that I wasn’t a diabetic and have never had blood sugar issues. Had my a1c checked less than 2 months ago and it was fine. She rechecked it and then proceeded to call me and say “oh your a1c was “actually” normal” no kidding that is what I said. Extremely disappointed to say the least. Keep your fat phobia in check and learn that fat people can be healthy. If I was worried about losing weight via medications I would have asked my regular doctor.
A nurse thought it would be funny to “prank” me by telling me my pregnancy test was positive when it wasn’t. Did NOT adequately prepare me for getting an IUD. Communication is extremely poor and the quality of care is even worse. Find somewhere else. You’ll thank yourself later.
Had an appointment for my child to be seen and I was skipped over three times. Then the front desk receptionist was rude. The a nurse tells me that I can’t go back with my minor child. When I called to make a complaint to the office manger Jessica she didn’t take it serious enough. It shows me that they don’t care. What parent who has open communication with there child would let them do this by themselves.
It is unlikely that I will be returning to the West Monroe location of The Women’s Clinic. I have not had any problems in my dealings with the downtown Monroe location but this location is a bit of a pain. They asked me to change my appointment, due to cancellations, which is fine. In & our earlier, right? The paperwork they had me fill out took a good 20 minutes, which pushed the appointment back a bit & I showed up 15 minutes BEFORE the new appointment time. The nurse I got could not remember if she had added information to my chart, which meant we had to go over a couple of things multiple times. Then, I waited in the exam room for an extra 20 minutes before the doctor made her way in. Lastly, I mentioned to both the nurse AND the doctor that I needed refills on the prescription for those keeping count at home, the need was stated twice in the office, but neither could be bothered to send in a refill request before the close of business on a Friday, which meant that I went through a weekend without a prescription.
Don't even deserve one star! Made an appointment to get my annual, which would be completely paid from my employer based insurance. Took off for my appt, was on time and pre-registered. I waited 1 hour and 45 minutes in the waiting room with no communication. I finally got called to the back, where I was told that because I had a old bill with them that they couldn't see me today! Before I could leave from the parking lot, actually, before I could write this review, I had a call from their billing regarding my old bill! Wow, feel like we treat animals with more respect than they just treated me! Go anywhere, ANYWHERE but here! Older ladies were waiting the same amount of time as me! Why schedule appts when you can't handle them? Worst worst worst experience ANYWHERE EVER!!
The staff were very friendly. I only waited maybe 10 minutes prior to being called to the back. Everyone was friendly and Dr. Tugwell is AWESOME!!! I had pain in my side and he did not just tell me he could not find anything and send me home. He actually took the time out to make a referral to a GI doctor and he scheduled a follow-up appointment for me with him as soon as I see that doctor.
I have been using The Woman's Clinic for years. My doctor is VERY professional and courteous. The front desk staff and nurses are friendly as well. The wait times are the only reason I only gave a 3 star rating. I have learned to schedule my appointment for 4:00 or after because I know they won't want to stay after 5.
