We selected The Yard Doctor Landscaping Company to re-landscape our front and side yard. We only had a vague idea of what we wanted to accomplish. Josh provided us with a myriad of ideas. He was excellent at helping us choose plants, rocks, boulders and gravel. Together we selected a variety of colorful plants. Josh and his team were timely, effective and efficient. We recommend that if you are contemplating hiring a landscaper; give The Yard Doctor a Call.
My yard was dying because of a high water table, plants, flowers, trees were all living in water only a foot or so below the surface. The Yard Dr. came in and dug out tons of rock and shell, slopped the back so that any water now runs into a drain that go into a sump pump and is carried water run off ditch. A lot of hard hand work but a beautiful finish. They even added another small garden plot for me. Could not be more pleased. .
We had a fantastic experience with Josh at The Yard Dr. After looking at a few other options and getting some other quotes, we emailed Josh and he came out to give us a bid. Before he even told us the bid I was already sold! Which is saying a lot because I'm very price-motivated. He completely won us over for a few reasons: 1 He respected our busy lives throughout the process. For example... Before his first visit, he was professional by calling to ask if it would be okay if he came 30 mins late, instead of just showing up 30+ mins late without warning like the other people. Seriously, the other landscapers we had come give bids were all really late--up to 4 hours late!--and I loved that Josh respected our busy lives. 2 Josh is very knowledgeable and honest--a great pairing! He told us ways to save money and still get the job done. Cheaper rocks here, a couple fewer plants there, all to help us get within our budget while still totally capturing the vision. If you are looking for someone who will let you have some say in the process but knows their stuff well enough that you could trust they'd do a fantastic job all on their own, then Josh is your guy! 3 He valued us as clients. Other landscapers seemed to have an I'm-too-busy-and-don't-need-your-business-but-I'll-give-you-a-bid-anyway kind of attitude. Josh obviously had other clients he was working to please, but he was able to fit us in a couple weeks out instead of making us wait months. He was efficient and effective when communicating about the progress of the job and the actual execution. And he always made time to answer our questions. All in all, even as a budget-conscious, type-A person, I had a great experience. We fully recommend Josh at The Yard Dr.!
Josh and the Yard Doctor crew are true professionals. Josh worked with me from start to finish through the whole design, implementation and completion of my beautiful yard. Josh’s follow-up, customer service and attention to detail are impeccable and I would highly recommend Yard Dr to anyone who requires and expects a high level of detail and attention for their landscape project.
