ORTHOPEDIC TREATMENTS: A combination of medical and sports massage used for clients who have soft tissue pain or injury. An orthopedic assessment involves applying resistive force on specific muscles to test for weaknesses and tendon/ligament involvement.
BINEURAL TREATMENTS: A combination of sound and light frequencies especially designed to balance brain waves and therefore enhancing the function of the brain. Specific protocols are used to target different parts of the brain. This treatment has beneficial effects on insomnia, attention disorders or poor focus, balance or muscle coordination and depression and anxiety.
DEEP TISSUE: Focuses on realigning the deeper layers of muscles and connective tissues. This type of bodywork breaks down adhesions to relieve pain and restore normal movement.
FASCIA WORK: Fascia is the thin, clear connective tissue that envelops muscles and skeletal components. It is a continuous web that runs throughout the body. Therefore, during the session you may feel shifts in different areas than where the therapist is working.
TRIGGER POINT TREATMENT: Trigger points are palpable nodules within a tense band of muscle fibers that cause distinct pain patterns. Direct pressure and percussion are applied to the nodules for treatment.
LYMPH DRAINAGE: Lymph is pumped via body movement or muscles contracting and relaxing. If tissues are too constricted, the lymph is not able to move and cellular waste builds up, causing sickness or disease. Mild to moderate pressure and percussion is applied to move the lymph.
PELVIC BALANCE: Wedges are placed under pelvic in specific locations to exact a change in the pelvis muscles and restore balance.
ELECTROTHERAPY: A TENS-like unit with electropads placed in a specific pattern on or near the point of origin of the pain causing condition.
HERBAL COMPRESSES: Herbs are compounded to your specific needs and the herbal pack is place over the area of concern.
