My name is Kayle Torres and I am a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern #78706 at HOPE Counseling Center, under the supervision of Darlene Davis, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor.
My Experience:
I have worked with children and families for over 10 years and most recently was a center director for a childcare. I also have experience working with children with special needs and offering support to their parents. I have a passion for working with children and parents, whether it is support while potty training or an exploration after a child leaves home. I chose Marriage Family Therapy as a career because I saw how many parents just needed a little support and wanted to be able to assist and offer healing for families.
Therapeutic Style: Therapy is a collaborative experience that is created by the therapist and the client. I hope to create a safe and supportive environment that allows us to walk together through our journey of therapy. I am knowledgeable in various types of therapy including Murray Bowen’s Family Systems approach and Solution-Focused therapy.
Education:
I have my Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development from California State University, Sacramento and my Master’s of Arts Degree in Psychology with emphasis in Marriage Family Therapy at Brandman University.
