Went in to get some jewelry engraved and the guy at the front desk was almost yelling and being super dramatic when we asked him if they engrave 10k gold, a simple no sorry would’ve been fine. But he shooed us away it was so embarrassing. Even when we asked if they would know anyone who would they just kept saying no till we walked away !
My wife and I had a fantastic experience at the store in Southlake Mall. We were looking everywhere for a last minute gift for our parents for our wedding. When we went into the store, Kim the store manager, helped us find exactly what we were looking for, and also helped us find the perfect serving wear for the wedding as well. The best part was that Kim bent over backwards to ensure we had great service. Because we were in a rush our fault she engraved our frames the same day, and they came out perfect! Thank you so much! A+ service!!
I bought a personalized necklace and received a free jewelry box and I had that engraved too. It turned out great. I ended up stopping in the store on a whim because their online site said sold out. They had 2 of them. Glad I stopped in

I purchased an engraved frame for 50 bucks and the engraving sucked. The only reason I kept it because time was a factor. I pointed out that I wasn't pleased and the lady said yeah they did what they could to fit it on there. How bout tell me that it won't fit first, rather than stick me with crappy engraving that I know she actually did herself. The nerve to throw it off on someone else.
I was able to find some great deals there,also received, excellent customer service..... which sadly is not what it used to be. So thanks very much
I just had my first bad encounter with Things Remembered and it will probably stick with me from here on out. When I order 2 matching KeepSake boxed with crosses on them, I specifically asked if I could have them place in small font like the preview online had it. When I received them they were oversized font with the wrong placing. Also, I ordered a boy newborn shadow box and the blue train that goes inside was face right with the engravement of the name, date of birth, and weight. So when I ordered it, that's what I thought it was going to look like. The train was facing the wrong way with the WRONG font, again, and the spacing was off. I turn over the train and the name i asked for on it was engraved on it. So, assuming they tried the first time and messed up somehow, they flipped it upside down and just did in on the back. Extremely disappointed. When I went in originally - I thought for sure I'd have a great experience because the customer service was AMAZING.
Nice store for anniversary gifts and gifts for bridesmaid and groomsman gifts . Not the largest selection to buy a wedding gift for a friend though.
Would not recommend the Merrillville location. I had a bad experience and will be contacting coperate.
I needed something engraved and the employee did an amazing job!!! She had my order ready in just under 15 minutes
