The Thomas Eagleton Building was named for the US senator who dedicated 27 years of his life as the Missouri lieutenant governor, Attorney General of Missouri and a US Senator. The Eagleton Building is stately, with architectural elements that defy the boring government building template. There are many layers to the exterior design that work well together. The bold design uses simple proportional elements of the post-modern movement, as well as bold classical elements. The stately north entrance speaks of classical public building design, while allowing for all ADA requirements. The building has adequate buffering on the main north entry by the two block park areas that the Fillipine Garden and the BOA Plaza to the northeast.
My mom Catherine Hanaway was speaker of the house in 2006 I was 4 or 5 she used to work there I loved her office you could see the cardinals baseball game. And me and my mom could throw a nerf football in her office it was that big The people there are really nice. I’m now 18 i still feels like it was yesterday
The most non-accessible public building I've ever seen. Closest public parking is on the opposite side of building from publuc entrance. This is a travesty to the Amercans with Disabilities Act [ADA] I have ever seen.
Justice from the top. USA!!!
