The Thomas Kearns McCarthey Gallery maintains an extensive inventory of collectible works by Russia's most respected artists during the period of 1930 to 1980. The gallery carefully selects paintings that are historically significant, original in composition, interesting in form and beautiful in their depiction of the human spirit. We have been working in Russia for many years and have developed close personal relationships with many of the artists and their families. Together with our associated gallery in Russia, Dacha Art and our Russian partners, we continually have access to the best available inventory. Many of the largest dealers of Russian art have bought all or most of their paintings from us. Since 1991, we have been presenting the most respected artists and the masterpiece paintings of the 1930's to the 1970's period of Russian Impressionism. It has been our joy to work with some the greatest Russian artists (and their families) of the twentieth century. These artists include the great masters of Russian Impressionism – Vladimir Stozharov, Grigory Chainikov, Sergei and Alexei Tkachev, Alexei Gritsai, Nikolay Terpsikhorov, Yuri Kugach, Igor Popov, Geliy Korzhev, Arkady Plastov, Vasily Nechitailo, Aleksandr Gerasimov and many others. Because of our special relationships with the artists and their families, we have over many years, been able to acquire a large inventory of paintings by the premier Russian artists of the twentieth century.
