It’s a very exciting time as they just announced Alpine Village so the kids are very excited to see when it opens towards the end of 2023. Lots of big happening going on at Edaville so get ready for a great Christmas season of holiday lights.Visited onWeekendWait timeUp to 10 minReservation recommendedYesPrice for adult entry$16–20
My family wife, and 2 kids - ages about 3 yo and 1 1/2 and I all went to Edaville pronounced like "EAT A sandwich" Family Theme Park in July. We had a great experience, and can confirm all of the other positive reviews posted. It is a great theme park for younger children, and was family and budget friendly. The park is located about 1-1.5 hours southeast of Boston, in Carver, MA. Parking is free large dirt lot and the cost of admission covers all rides and activities, they obviously have food and drink for sale, souvenirs, etc. I thought that the food and souvenirs were reasonably priced, though not cheap. There aren't too many restaurants nearby, so you'll likely end up eating there, but the park has benches and tables interspersed throughout and they encourage families to bring their own food. There are three "components" or zones at Thomas Land: 1. General or unbranded rides 2. Thomas Land 3. Dinosaur Land not sure about the name. There are a number of non-branded rides like biplanes, flying elephants, ferris wheels, merry-go-round, etc and the park makes height minimums clear. They are strict about enforcing those minimums, for visitor safety. The rides are predictable but fun, what you'd see at a county fair, maybe a little better. Thomas Land itself has one Thomas train that is linked with a number of train carriages, so that kids can ride on a train pulled by Thomas. To my mind, that was the only Thomas train in the park, perhaps to maintain the fantasy of being in Sodor i.e. there is only one Thomas. They have a Toby ride, a Bertie ride, a Diesel ride, a narrow-gauge engines ride, a Winston ride elevated track, a Flynn the Fire Truck ride, where kids can squirt water at a building, a Harold ride, and other Thomas and Friends themed rides Bulstrode, Troublesome Trucks, etc. Thomas Land is very well executed and engaging. We didn't have enough time to see the dinosaur area. The staff there was very friendly and helpful, and I'd recommend the place to families with young children. Overall a great value and a day of memorable fun.
We visited Thomas Land for our son's birthday. He loves trains so the park was beyond amazing. He was able to ride the rides with his brother and dad. The staff were super helpful and made Logan feel special and wished him a happy birthday DinoLand was fun we got to see and learn some cool facts about dinosaurs
We flew from Texas to visit here with our 2 boys, ages 5 and 7 and we all loved it! Such a cute theme park. We all wished there were more locations closer to TX :
This place is awesome, we have traveled here several times. Will be returning with my toddlers this fall.Visited onWeekendWait timeUp to 10 minReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$31+
Thomas Land permanently closed. It says it in small words on the website and if you are going specifically for that your child will be disappointed. Also tickets are nonrefundable. I learned this the hard way on my son's birthday, unfortunately.
My family and I have always loved Edaville, making multiple trips throughout the years. One of the highlights for my kids was always thomas land and the dinosaurs. We have gone to the festive of lights the past few years, but honestly without Thomas land I’m not sure it’s really worth it. Very disappointing to learn that Thomas land will not reopen as I felt this was a huge part of the park and something my kids always looked forward to. Sadly my youngest never got to experience this part of the park.
Save your money! Although, it says Thomas Land USA, the run down cranberry farm called Edaville is making a profit off not changing the name on Google. They will give you some sorry spill of an excuse as to why they aren’t affiliated with Matel anymore and how the tickets aren’t refundable. So why not change the name?! Now I get to travel 2k miles back home with a disappointed child. Unbelievable!
My kids loved this place, but without thomasland we have to reason to go there ..the new owners made a big mistakeReservation recommendedNo
My daughter and I are not into Thomas the Train, but, the displays, rides and village are nice. This is a good addition to Ediville Railroad.
