If I could rate zero stars, I would. They clearly are not personable and have no sense of urgency. They would rather have a positive covid patient wait in the waiting room and possibly infecting others surrounding them, instead of getting them a room. Yeah they will do chest x-rays, but no blood work or anything. The Urgent Care was more help then this place. Oh and if you have chest pains. Forget it. You might as well die. Joke of an ER. A poor elder man was there since 1030am and we left at 630pm, that man still wasn't being tended to. The waiting room was also freezing, what the hell.
I was in the ER last night for a kidney stone. It was very painful, fever and chills. Both Brett the PN and Julie the nurse did an excellent job. I can’t imagine being treated better. Both were professional, straight forward and to the point. Thank you!
As a patient, I can understand the frustration of waiting for hours to be seen. However, I also have worked in this ED and have seen the behind the scenes. These dear providers are being slammed on the daily and there's a national shortage of staff. I am more than willing to wait long hours to be seen because they are doing everything they can with significant limits since covid hit. Everyone is tired and worn out and a little empathy and patience from provider and patient will go a long way in you receiving quality care. Thompson Health is the best hospital I've ever been to with compassionate staff. If they seem short, I know it's because they are excruciatingly exhausted and going through hell. Thanks to people not getting the vaccine, our nation's shortage of Healthcare workers has become worse and those who remain are only human trying to do the best they can. They took amazing care of me recently through severe back and chest pain. Yes, it was a long wait but they didn't let me go until they felt I was safe. Thompson Health rocks and I'm proud to call them my home hospital for all my needs.
Took my daughter in for Bradycardia, Chest-pain, Shortness of breath, dizziness, COVID day 6 - had been referred by TH Urgent Care seen an hour before. ER Staff I felt were as helpful as could be -Place was Packed!! One RN, Aimee, was very sympathetic. I’m an RN, so could relate to the chaos Did NOT appreciate hearing about PA who evaluated my daughter. She “sized her up” ,She did not allow her to ask questions or give her chance to voice her concerns. Made her feel stupid. My 28yr Daughter is a very intelligent person who has been around the medical environment all her life. ER looks at facts- CXR, EKG, oximetry Her Results All good on paper, which was good news. But something is still “not right”. Sent home with no answers. So far she hasn’t cardiac arrested. I feel bad timing-Holiday weekend-too many people- short staffed led to not thinking outside the box, to lack of patience, poor assessment , possible missed diagnosis, pathetic recommendations and plan. Might have been waste of time and $$$ Praying that PAs, MDs who give final opinions get some rest, and truly listen to their patients more.
My mother was admitted here on Saturday for groin pain that extended down into her leg. Six hours later, she was seen by an ER doctor. My mother is on a blood thinner and was given an NSAID for the pain. Anybody with any common sense and even a smidge of medical knowledge knows that someone on a blood thinner cannot take NSAIDs. If you want to die, come to this ER. You'll wait 6 hours and then they'll try to kill you with pain medication. Have a great day! Unfortunately Google requires you to give at least one star to post a review, so let's consider that one a -100.
Here this morning cause I got rust in my eye.. Bad! Sat around in the emergency room while they sipped their coffee and tea talking about everything but work. When I POLITELY asked the lady at the desk " can you please tell me ROUGHLY how much longer, she replies their super busy." I wouldn't have guessed by the laughter and grouping.. These are the HEROES? The reviews speak for themselves
The worst place you can imagine and work with people's health. I was involved in a car accident. My mother-in-law and I arrived by ambulance at that hospital. The paramedics were very efficient and friendly, the x-ray clerks were excellent, the doctor was very diligent. The nurse was rude, inhuman, inconsiderate... when I asked her about her supervisor, another nurse answered very rudely and only said that the supervisor was meeting on a Sunday. When I asked her name she just hid her ID and said her name is Rebecca. The worst place in the world. I do not recommend it under any circumstances. I am totally disappointed. I have no words. They should give that job opportunity to a person with EMPATHY and commitment. This kind of work is not for everyone, it is about preserving the health of the individual, not destroying it emotionally and physically.
Terrible!!! Been waiting in waiting room with wife who has stomach pains for over 3 hours now!! Lady at the desk said it would be a half hour. That was over two hours ago. I've seen people come in after us go right in! Bet I'd get better service if I didn't have insurance! I suggest going elsewhere!
If I could rate it zero stars I would. My family has had three medical emergencies in the last six months - a broken leg, a near septic infection and a grand mal seizure. Every visit we made here has been absolutely awful - the medical staff show zero interest in caring for people in pain. Their is zero communication with patients and wait times while not being given food, water, medicine or even information are astronomical. IM TALKING AT LEAST 6 hours sometimes 12. There is no urgency at all.
Go to ANY other ER except this one. It is TERRIBLE!!! I had my organs being twisted in pain I cannot put into words and they made me wait 5.5 hours to get into a room while I’m vomiting blood on the floor and crying in the waiting room. Worst place on the planet and staff is garbage, should be shut down.
