Nice park a little run down but kids still had fun. Park has a decently sized jungle gym, 2 baby swings and 6 regular swings. Park also has frisbee golf and a nice sand beach. Will probably come back to take the kids swimming. Playground: Fairly large playground/playground area. The playground itself looks a little worn down but the kids still enjoyed it Restrooms: Park has restrooms. Dog-friendliness: Larger grass area for dog or kids to run. Park bulletin boards have doggy bags Picnic area: Park has a decent amount of pinic tables
Great beach park for kids and adults alike. There's a big playground and picnic tables and trees, perfect for a party or just enjoy outdoors on a nice weather. The parking lot is big but dusty so remember either to bring a bottle to rinse your kids little feet before entering the car or put their shoes before heading to the parking lot. I also notice a boat rental and restrooms but no showers wich is a nice feature about sammamish state park. My husband said the restroom could use a little tlc but at least they were functional
This is an open area park with short walking trails, a campground, kids play area, a Frisbee Golf course, a nice clean beach area and pier for swimming. Use caution parking your car and do not leave anything of value in your car as it may be broken into during active months. A warning sign posted warns of break ins. All in all its a nice park expansive lake views and nice beach. I give it a 3 star rating.
This is a great park. Nice bathroom and swimming beach. Rinse off shower. Playground is large and has nice equipment. Lots of parking. Playground: Nice equipment
The OG park. The best The Greatest This is the park! This is the local park In my mind. This is the romanticized park that you and your friends would go to after school and trade ****ing baseball cards or whatever. The trail around the lake? Super cool and light. Go here sometime. Only complaint: Some dude a year ago put one of those christian fundie chick tracts near a bus stop. LOL. Had fun reading that.
Handicap accessible in theory... Unfortunately, it appears that no one's taking care of this park as there are all kinds of debris on the walkways, making it hard to pass with a rolling device like a wheelchair or stroller. There's a big hill down to the water, which may be hard for some people to traverse. The permanent bathroom is down there but maybe don't make the effort in winter months as it's locked up for much of the year. The handicap accessible bathroom near the parking lot is a temporary Porta-Potty and it's filled to the gills -- is anyone maintaining it? The beach is hard packed with sand but not passible with a wheelchair or rollator. One of the buildings on site has tape around it like it's been the scene of a crime or needs serious repair. The mostly unpaved lot has several handicap spots but, again, it's a challenge to get out of the lot and through the park. Some nice covered/enclosed areas for group activities. Also saw a new children's play area, under construction as of winter 2023, but maybe open by summer? But expect to haul the kids a free hundred feet to get there and again for bathrooms/changing areas. We brought a dog but he'll likely do better at another park with better upkeep and more of a dog focus. Overall, this facility was disappointing -- mainly for lack of upkeep/accessibility.
It is a pretty park. There is a lake in front of it and a picnic area. However there are many thieves and that is scary.
Very nice large park. There's frisbee courses, playground, beach, restrooms. Only issue is the outdoor shower and fountains never work! They are re-doing walking trails right now, wish they would put in a small dog park or upgrade restrooms instead. Playground equipment is nice. Restrooms: outdoor shower/water doesn't work.
One of the best family parks in the Silverlake neighborhood. Shaded and sunny picnic spots, sandy enough for hours of castle building, water activities like rentable canoes, and a huge playground for little ones. Only cons: It can get really crowded on weekends and hot temperatures really gets the lake water teeming with nasty bacteria which is normal for most lakes in PNW. They even have warnings posted when it happens. So if you have sensitive skin, it's a good idea to bring soap + fresh clothes and take an immediate shower after lake exposure. They do have shower stalls and restrooms too. So nothing to worry if you are planned. Overall, great spot to have a family day out on a budget!
Very nice park with a sandy beach front, kids playground, and a fun intermediate but beginner friendly golf course!
