Firstly, check-in is at 2pm, i didn't get into my room until almost 3:30pm. They wouldn't allow me to check in even an hour early, even after driving 500 miles to he here with a Reservation that was MONTHS in advance. Was told the room needed cleaned, but not the case. I sat on the porch of the cabin next to it from about 11am-3pm and never seen anyone enter/leave. Then I had to drive to 3 different places in an attempt to get the keys to FINALLY get into my cabin, eventually they brought them to my cabin for me. The rooms were renovated without anyone being specific2 LESS bedsbunk beds were missing. Stove was absolute garbage, fridge sucked. Gate code didn't work for me. The shelter areas have went WAY down hill. Lights don't work, tables/chairs are gone now. Swarms of yellow jackets and black wasps seem to be around every corner. I've spent MANY summers here, this one will be my last.
Beautiful park with lots of green spaces and trails thru the woods. Clean facilities and very helpful staff. They have 2 large pools and lots of arcade games in the Lodge. Nice paved roads mostly, some gravel. Spacious spots as well. We really enjoyed our stay
We spent a week here and loved it! We had site # G-13 that had plenty of room to back in our 44' Class A. Full Hook-up/50amp on crushed rock, almost perfectly level! All interior roads are either paved or well cared for...no potholes. Our back-in site was over towards hwy 64, mostly sunny with tall trees on either side and behind us, plenty of room for our toad - it was quiet at night. We use T-Mobile and service was 5G. There's so much to offer for families and couples. Several different athletic offerings, a couple swimming pools when in season. Tennis/pickleball and basketball courts. The lodge is packed full of great games. Pool tables etc. There's a short order grill area and a gift shop with icecream! Check the printed schedule for open days. Walking trails! Dog park. Fabulous cabins on the lake too...the views are unbeatable!!! Note: we came the week of Halloween and so many had great decorations...we included some pictures...the seasonal campers are very friendly!
It's such a quiet place. Nice friendly staff and residents. Plenty of amenities to enjoy. The only issue if anything is the train that rolls past every hour and a half as its horn is blaring especially during the night.
So far So good. Checked in and found out there was a water line leaking in camp. No big deal stuff happens. Woke up this morning to find out our coffee maker had sprung a leak. Had to drive about 25 minutes to the local Wally World to get a replacement. Back by 815 and was sitting on deck drinking my first cup by 830. That's what campers do Roll with the punches and enjoy the scenery. Will check back after trip over. Oh by the way I left at 715 and it was 64° When I got back it was up to 72° on its way to 86°. Gotta love vaca's
We are Full Time RVers with a thousand trails membership. We’ve stayed at this park 3 weeks and we have to say we love it and it’s one of the best TT’s Parks we are visited on the east coast. First, I would like to mention the activities in the park and the activities team! They put a lot of hard work into a haunted trail, a escape room, trunk or treat, trick-or-treating at RV sites, and much more! All for free! And for fun! You can tell they really care and wanted the kids and adults to have a good time! This park includes annual campers, full timers, seasonal, and people just passing through like us but every one is super friendly and we’ve made a lot of friends here. They’ve added new sites that look level and fit bigger rigs with full hook ups. We work full time and have been able to work off of T-Mobile and ATT! Video calls, emails, steaming, etc. James Junction is open 5 days a week and food is decent! They also have ice cream! No hot tub but pools look nice and the Rec room has pool, ping pong, air hockey, and arcade games! We will be back!
I was here to clean a camper for a resident. I will definitely be back. This campground is full of fun for the whole family. If you don't know where you're going, definitely get a map. I got lost 5 times haha.
Another Grand Slam from Thousand Trails. Even though the weather is horrible the park and its caretakers shine like the Sun at noon. Huge spots and clean bathrooms. Love this place.
We joined 2 years ago. We could never get a site. So, when they called to renew, we said not interested. Today, i saw a charge of $52.50 on my bank statement. Called and finally spoke to someone there. Said they automatically renew membership. Could not get refund. Stay away from this membership campground.
We had a very terrible experience for the week we stayed. It was our first stay and we will never return. Upon leaving, the harassment from the staff continued via social media and private messages. Completely unprofessional. The campground lacked operable amenities for the amount we paid to stay over $100 per night. Activities for the kids were canceled without notice and food we ordered from James Junction was burnt and inedible and very overpriced. Pool was closed on the 4th, TV in the clubhouse was inoperable. Went to play putt putt and had to stop early due to swarming yellow jackets in the course and snake eggs everywhere. Saw several staff members riding around in golf carts but nothing was kept clean or orderly. No one had passion or enthusiasm at the few activities that weren’t canceled. We felt like an inconvenience to everyone that we were there. Clumps of hair and huge bugs floating around in the pool. Popping and overheating gas golf cart rental. No games or activities in the clubhouse, couldn’t play putt putt, several of the laundry machines were broken. Someone came and removed our personal laundry from the dryer after only 30 minutes of us using it - we had to pick up our laundry from the bug infested floor. No where to purchase laundry detergent or a simple toothbrush - but the shop has 25 bottles of fabric softener. Harassed by staff on multiple occasions while we were there and after we left early. Staff was beyond rude and unprofessional. Gate was left wide open for anyone to enter the campground on the weekend without a code. Just pure madness at our expense of time and money.
