Poor Mall, there are a few stores attempting to make the best of it with novelties and gifts for sale. We stopped hoping for a selection of dessert places for the kids, there was only one ice cream store. The movie theater is a nice one. I'm surprised they haven't turned it into a family fun zone or something like that.
I ate at Jack In The Box yesterday because I didn't want to go home and fix anything and it's really convenient my wait time to order wasn't bad there wasn't a long line had to wait about 7 to 8 minutes to get my food once I was up to the window the person that waited on me was really nice, polite, and professional when I got halfway home I realized that they had my order wrong which is the standard with fast food restaurants nowadays when you go through the drive-thru it's been my experience to look at your meal when you're out in the parking lot after you're done getting your food
So I’m giving four star because it had this old school feel to it I miss. Sadly in all honestly there’s a lot of nothing here. Not a lot of store and the stores they have are just okay. Nothing I would drive far for. Wish I would have seen this back in its day. I bet it was awesome!
Mall is on the smaller side, definitely not a "ghetto" mall but it also isn't busy mall as far as customers and businesses. Years ago this mall was quite busy, considering the economy this mall has done alright for staying afloat.
There are only a few stores and a gym here, but the ones that are there are nice. Our favorite thing is The Family Room & The Rusty Rose Antiques. It's also a great place for indoor walking to get your steps in for the day :
Can be fun if you're just hanging out with friends but there's not a lot to do. The best reason to go there is the few card shops. It'd be way better if there was more to do.
Went to the only open place in the food court, they do ice cream and bubble tea but also had a lunch "chicken teriyaki". It was a frozen dinner that they microwaved still in the paper bowl... don't eat here.
Unfortunately this is a dying place. The library, which is amazing, is located here. There are a handful of stores. Including a dance studio. I think it would work/survive if they had more businesses in there like the library and dance studio.
Went to the family fun house for our toddler and it was an absolute blast very inexpensive and all us adults got to take turns watching him while getting massaged in the massage chairs which cost more then him going to the family fun house. But so worth it! Can't wait to take him here again!
I was there when it first opened back in the late 80’s. The DECA club of Kelso High had a deal with the mall and many of the businesses within to learn from the assorted retailers all about the business aspects of retail. Now, it could only learn, at best, about a down economy. That is what this mall says to me all these years later with few businesses still running out of it and only one of the original anchor stores left. It is a sad reminder of just how much the economy has changed for the worse for the local businesses. On the upside, it has the Kelso Public Library and the updated Regal Cinemas. On the downside, there is not much left of the food court. I have been away too long and don’t know what happened, but this is bad. It is like a ghost town, with “brand new” walls that never got a chance to keep shining into the 21st century.
