I stayed with my friends who have a permanent site there. It's clean, kept up and very pretty, other campers are very friendly and respectful. They have 2 ponds and lots of little critters chipmunks, groundhogs, frogs, ducks, peacocks in a pen etc running around. The campground actually has a bar that serves food when open inside the camp next to the pool. They have lots of stuff going on during the summer to keep you entertained we played bingo one night but should you choose the town of Holland isn't far. Plenty of restaurants around and stores if you've forgotten something. Not a far drive from Niagara county but just far enough to get away for a quick weekend. Picnic areas, playground, plenty of bathrooms/ showers, cabins to rent and dog/cat friendly.
Absolutely love this campground! It's the ideal spot for family outings with top-notch security and kid-friendly activities. Also, it's a fantastic place to chill out, crack open a beer, and soak in the serene natural surroundings. Whether you're after adventure or relaxation, this campground delivers. Can't wait for my next visit! 5 stars.
Please read the details when reserving a cabin. No toilet paper, linens, paper towels, etc. Our water smelled like eggs and made the whole house stink. Makes for fast showers because the smell of the hot water is worse. They also only have pictures of one cabin, Annie Oakley. The other cabins don't have air conditioning and are very rustic, spiders and all. We didn't have any problems with the checkout like others have says but we took before pictures. Ours was not cleaned well prior to our arrival
Was a great place to camp. Everyone was very nice cabin was very clean. Shower water smelled but hey it's camping. No rowdy people and store has just about anything you need. Cabins had comfortable beds. They even had an albino peacock. We're were early so the other amenities weren't open yet. Next time we go we will make sure the main lake is full and stocked!
Ok place, grounds are very nice and well groomed people mostly seasonal but some beautiful spots by the pond. Weekend are very loud weekdays pleasant. Showers and baths far far away, so have your hiking shoes on if you have no transport. Road into campspots awful rocky, narrow and some very steep climbs and ascents with stop sign at bottom as your reward for achieving the feat. Very large campground covering acres and acres spots very close in some areas.
THE WORST cabin we ever stayed in. Sharing pictures of what we suffered through. Jack Daniels $190. A night?!?!? You have got to be kidding me! Charging this price because it sleeps 8? Pictures speak a thousand words. No wonder the website does not have pictures of the inside. Filth and discussing smell. Dirty tissues behind the bed, moldy AC. They leave a can of Lysol and air fresheners? For what? The Health Department needs to be informed. Roughing it is one thing but we didn’t expect a cabin to look like this for that price.
Very nice. Clean. Beautiful scenery, ponds, woodland areas, etc. Looks like a lot of full-timers stay here. $20 to dump & refill as of this posting.
Having a great weekend. Great weekend, great people, great band, great weather, great food. Sunburn... Not so great. Cant get enough of this place tho!! Deer run for life!
Stayed this past weekend at the Daniel Boone cabin and absolutely loved it. It's a perfect, cozy, clean rustic log cabin and you can't beat the price. Already booked it for another weekend because we had such a great time.
Despite the bad reviews this place is great. Clean,dog friendly, grounds maintained, good prices, friendly people, and average sized spots. They have hiking trails, ponds/lakes, fishing small trout, sunfish,and bass, a pool, and bar. This place is way larger than we expected. Most people here have a golf cart to get around. I would suggest you bring a car or something. Bathrooms are not the best, but sulfur water plays a role. Also the spots are not level. Roads are rough.
