Amenities look amazing but have lived here 2 years and never been able to use the pool. Manager Dora could care less until your year is up and it is time to increase rent. Yards are up to the owner but growing grass in sand is impossible. Our fence for the park and resident lot was broke down and never replaced. Our electric box putside and vandalized never fixed. Overpriced and falsely advertised. Wouldn't recommend.
The staff has done a poor job communicating with us, explore your options before moving here. We had a friend stay over so they wouldn't drive home drunk so we moved our car onto the grass for 8 hours so they could sober up and drive home in the morning. They provide overflow parking but we didn't want our intoxicated friend driving through the neighborhood. Before we could move our car back they towed it and since it was in park it tore up our grass and they have already threatened us with fines if we don't fix our lawn. They offer no solutions, they just make demands and threaten fines. So far I regret moving here. I should of read the other reviews. Edit: they gave us 1 warning a month and a half ago for parking on the rocks, many people park on the rocks in this neighborhood, they recently issued a rule change forbidding this. They do state in the rules that you are not supposed to park on the grass but I fully expect a warning before action is taken. They also informed us we have received "like 3 warnings" which is not true. Our lawn is brown because it was dying when we moved in and have been trying to rehabilitate it. The neighbor across the street is struggling with the same issue, they moved in a few weeks ago. Management has been threatening fines if we can't get it rehabilitated. I am worried they will receive the same notice. I am genuinely concerned writing this review that the staff will retaliate with fines. If we could talk this over and get this issue figured out I would change this review. The park is generally in good condition and alot of good people live here. I will update this review so people are aware of how the park faculty handle this situation.
Buyer's regret after less than a year living here - a shame because we like the house and the neighbors are nice. The manager is vindictive if she decides for any petty reason, many with overt racist overtones, that she's doesn't like you or if you question her. She takes retaliatory actions in kind. Furthermore, she and the others in the office do not uniformly enforce existing rules, make up their own to suit them, and they ignore state statutes. We feared, when every neighbor we met upon move-in warned us about management, that we were in a bad situation. Our neighbors weren't kidding. I see that the person responding to reviews is labeled as "owner." Is that really the case?
Where do we start- the lack of follow ups from management is awful- I had contacted the office about my hostile neighbors being agressive and didn’t hear anything back, then a week after I contact the office- there’s another incident with the same neighbors and I get shoved by the same neighbor and have to call the cops- or the two lost checks when we first moved in that was pretty awesome they literally gave us a gift card cause they were so wrong about us owing. Recently they were contacting us saying we owe $600 cause the sewer bill wasn’t being added onto our bills. They also Tried to overcharge us for bills we have already paid when moving in. Also Can’t park in the grass or you’ll get towed at your expense. Management needs changed. If I was a property management company and had my managers losing checks and mot acting on incidents I’d have to get someone that could get issues resolved. There’s about 4 sex offenders that live in the park as well but heavens forbid people park on grass. And let’s not forget the murder of a 5 year old little boy that happened in the park within the last two years.
I’ve been living here for about 2 months and it’s been a poor experience so far. A couple weeks after moving in I got a notice on my car for parking on the rocks in front of my home and they told me I needed to move or I would be towed. There were 4 other people on my street at the time who were parked in the same area at their homes and none of them received notices. Now today, my car was towed without notice out of my own yard. I had pulled my car up into the yard for a few hours since there’s not sufficient parking at my home, and had not had a chance to move it yet. I woke up to my car being towed. I called the office and the woman working said they had given me “multiple warnings” that I’m not supposed to be parking there, but I have not received any. Now I have to waste $250 to get my car back because management has poor communication skills. I understand I’m not supposed to be parking here now, but it would have been nice to have a warning so I simply could have moved my car. In addition, the towing company messed up my lawn because my car was in park when they towed it. Management is already upset about my lawn because it was dying when I moved in, but they just messed it up even more.
Office System is disorganized but they try their best. Just keep good records of your payments and notices. Manager is less than inviting sometimes. Grew up in this park grandmother has lived in the community for 38 years, she says it was better when owned by a local family before it became corporate with SunCommunities I grew up and purchased a home in the neighborhood. We did get things stolen out of our cars twice within a year of moving in and the Lot rent has gone up 3 times since we bought our home in Sept 2018. But as far as trailer parks go. It’s clean and the crime is petty.
I did some work for them and was cheated out of lots of money because of the poor communication and was lied to by staff. I was asked to do certain repairs and after was said and done they came back on me and said it was never approved. One of the repairs was due to mold which they didn't want done they said just cover it up and I pushed the issue and the maintenance guy told me just do it then and bill for it and they won't pay me. This is just one of the various things I wasn't payed for. I lost over 30 thousand dollars. They are crooked and can't be trusted. Also found crack pipes and dirty needles in the park. Very shady looking people there and was also threatened. This is an additional to my previous post. The owner asked me to contact them so I did and they just took my info and said they would reach out ..well it must not be to important to them as they have not.
We went to look at a mobile home for our daughter. The lady who helped us was very nice and helpful. One thing I noticed was it had snowed and the roads, sidewalks and driveways were not cleaned well. I would think if you're showing a place, they would have cleared the snow. Otherwise, it was fine.
I have enjoyed raising my family in this community. It is well maintained and safe. Truly the nicest mobile home part in the area. Management has always been helpful and professional. After reading some negative reviews, I have to assume that these stem from people who get upset because the management is doing their job. I would recommend this community to friends and family. I already have.
Worst place I've EVER rented from... and I've rented a lot. The sales staff is a joke, and the community "manager" is even worse. They have no communication skills, and definitely are not here to serve the community. The manager is only good at sticking violation notices to the door. They may get better results if they actually communicate with the renters instead of violating them all the time. You will get notices on a daily basis if you are not liked, but other properties can have all the crap in the world in their yard without ever hearing a word from the "manager". I call it discrimination, and might talk to a lawyer about this. I feel like my rights are being violated. You don't want to live here if you have kids as this is not a kid-friendly community. You will get written up and threatened to get kicked out if you have any children's toys or outside play equipment unless they like you. But the "manager" never seems to be here when babies are walking around in the middle of the street with no parent in site.... maybe if they had something for their kids to play with in the yard they wouldn't wonder into the street?! But they are more worried about the outside appearance than they are about the community as a whole. What a joke!!! I would not recommend living here unless you need a cheap place to live and have nowhere else to go. Sometimes you only get what you pay for... and this is a prime example. Also be sure to document the condition of your lot well when moving in, because chances are they will make you fix it up to look better than it did at your expense. They only got one star because I couldn't post this with no stars. :
