Description

Welcome to Tin Woof! Inn Pet Center. We are located in Ashland, KY in the Paul Coffey Industrial Park - easily accessible from all points in the Tri-State from I-64.
We specialize in pet boarding for your dog or cat, doggie daycare, professional grooming and obedience training. In May 2014, we will install a 26,000 gallon Dock Dogs pool.

Have taken my GSD here for over 5 years, from daycare to boarding, my girls are always happy to be here. All of the staff are warm and caring towards my girls.
Our dog has been boarded here several times and we have had zero issues. He gets so excited when I drop him off and he especially loves to see Brittany! The staff has always been extremely kind and friendly. I wouldn’t feel comfortable boarding him anywhere else!
We had to board our dog for one week while we were at vacation. I was nervous because this was the first time we were boarding her for longer than 2 nights. We called mid week to check on how our dog was doing and the staff was very friendly and reassured us she was doing great! I would definitely recommend!
When we picked up our pups, they were filthy and one had her white chest all brown. We asked if they were playing on mud, no reply. When we got them home, we gave each one a bath. The brown on my pup's chest was actually her own blood. She had a dog bite on her ear that was gushing blood down to her chest. She had another injury to one of her rear foot claws and it was also bleeding. No one mentioned anything to us about these things. We're not leaving our pups in their care again. We love them too much to have a place like this not properly watch over them, which is what we paid them to do.
Called about boarding my dogs for a week vacation . We ended up paying 200 for 2 dogs, total for an entire week elsewhere. Tin woof wanted double that. Definitely check around and do some research. Even a vets office is cheaper with a vet just a call away.
We left our dog there for a few days over a weekend. The description made it sound like a great place. We paid for the bath and nail trimming too. We dropped her off with a bone, a brand new unopened bag of treats and some dog food. When we picked her up, she was covered in mud. She did not smell like she was freshly bathed either. We were still charged for the bath even though we had to bathe her as soon as we got her home. She also got mud all over the car. The only thing returned with her was the dog food. It was a very poor first experience.
Tin Woof In used to be our go-to place for dog daycare and boarding. Over the past 2 years the friendliness of the staff has deteriorated, they added a rule during Covid that pets couldn’t have toys brought from home while being boarded Covid-19 is primarily transmitted through aerosol particles, not dog toys, prices have increased multiple times, and they’ve now added a policy that if you cancel within 48 hours you will be charged 1 night per dog. I understand some extent of a charge, but not a full night per dog. While 2 years ago we recommended Tin Woof Inn to friends and family, we would not do so today.
The lady at the counter helping me check in was absolutely rude. Not only was she rude to me about the mix up in my vaccine paper work but she openly talking poorly with the other lady about my vet facility because they put her on hold. In front of a few other people inside with me and she was rolling her eyes and huffing that they didn’t have an answer for her the second she asked. So unprofessional. She has no human decency, let alone be working in a business involving customer service. I immediately collected my paper work and left.
Took great care of our husky and our Pomeranian got them bathed in their nice and clean.
Not a bad review, not a good review. I took my dog to doggy daycare in hopes of letting her play with other dogs while I ran a few errands and napped I work nights. When I dropped her off, I asked if I could see the place where my dog would be staying while I was gone while she was at daycare. I got to look through a window with cages which reminded me of a pound. I was okay with it, but I wasn’t shown where she would get to play outside during the day. I felt like I paid to have my dog sit in a crate and taken out to use the restroom. That’s it. Wasn’t much of a doggy day care experience I was looking for. Let’s just say, she was happy to see me back in less than 2 hours after I saw a post on facebook with just her outside looking around without other dogs to play with. Didn’t fear for her safety, otherwise I wouldn’t have left her there. I just expected more from a facility who advertises doggy day care. I could’ve put her in a crate and took her out more frequently than that.
