Fantastic service and delicious food. Call for reservations though. This place is popular. Soup is terrific. Our sandwiches were great.

Yummy dinner food. Healthy and home cooked options . Had Italian. Fair price and Seriously BEST SERVICE! Had so much fun we bought a souvenir mug. They really seem to let u have time to savor the food and visit with your pals. Finished up w a shared dessert and coffee.

Food was good. I would suggest calling ahead before arriving if you don't want a long wait.

Anything I've ever had here is delicious, honestly, and the dine-in waitstaff is friendly and very skilled. They have a chicken parm special on Tuesdays & you get the chicken, pasta, bread, and soup or salad for just $12.99 plus tax. The website has it listed as $10.99, though, and the bar staff barely can be bothered to help you if you want to pick up food for carry-out. Very put off by the attitude I received when I arrived to politely ask for my order.

Had dinner with friends on a Tuesday night for the chicken parmesan and spaghetti special and drinks. While the chicken parmesan and spaghetti was very good the salad and bread which is included did not impress me. But considering the cost I didn't mind. Had it not been for the bread and salad I would have given the restaurant 4 and a half stars. I will revisit this establishment soon it's worth it!

The food here is always delicious and you get plenty to eat. The chicken marsala makes about 3 meals. The staff is always friendly and we've never had any issues. Edit: Ordered takeout tonight. Was surprised and rather annoyed that they ADDED 4% to all credit card purchases and gave a 4% discount for cash. I've heard of getting discounts for cash, but never an additional charge on top of the regular total. Their website did not mention this, nor did whoever took my phone order. It should have at least been mentioned. Also, I understand that any times given for when food will be done are just estimates, but don't say 45 minutes of it's going to be done a lot sooner. I'm pretty sure my order was done a fair amount sooner, as the scallops were overdone and nothing was very hot. We generally get good food and service, so hopefully this was just an off night. But letting people know about the 4% beforehand, would have been nice.

Disgusting! We waited over an hour for our dinners and they gave me another persons dinner. The other person was eating my dinner so the new and inexperienced waitress switched dinners. They forced my to pay for my dinner which was partially eaten by the other person. My 92 year old father was starving. We got there around 5:45 and didn't eat until 7:15. The manager's response was they didn't have enough staff and the waitress was new. That's not our problem! I will let everyone I know what a dump this place is! I hope they shut down. Their food portions got smaller and their prices went up. I had to ask if we could have bread which was stale and the waitress never came to our table to see if we wanted anything. I had to hunt her down for drink refills and more bread since our first bread was stale. The second time she brought bread it was also stale. Stay away!

The place is nice, quiet, cozy. Originally I thought the prices were a bit high but the portions turned out to be pretty large. I was completely satisfied with the meal, it was fresh and delicious. Looking around at other orders the fishfry portions were huge, I can't wait to go back and try one. The French fries were golden and crispy, the sandwiches were stacked thick, as far as cafes go they are a step above the rest that's for sure. If you are going to get a beverage, though, you may not be to impressed, small glass of wine, filled just over halfway is almost 9 bucks, I'm used to paying close to that for wine but the glasses are usually a bit larger and they are filled all the way.

I went here for the first time today.realy good service! The food was even better! A grilled turkey with bacon and cheddar.they put a bit of russian on the fabulous rye bread and then grill it to perfection! Def will be coming here again! Oh and the cleanliness and adherence to mask policy was apparent immediately! Go tj's!!

My family and I have been dining at TJ's for as long as they've existed and we will keep coming back because the food and the service are great. I've tried nearly everything on the menu and I've never been disappointed. The portions are healthy. The prices are reasonable. It is a small, friendly, local eatery that focuses on quality food and attentive service. My wife and I stop there to eat every time we are on Central Avenue. TJ's is my favorite place to eat in the Capital Region.
