Delicious pancakes! Amazing French fries and terrific service! The waitress was so accommodating and made us feel welcomed . This diner a great place for brunch . We love the modernize renovations with the old school touches such as the old juke box , a old fashion counter with original stools ! It’s fresh and bright . As for the parking , go for the big parking lot the next street over .
Visited for first time on 5/28. I chose Toast over other area eateries because of the aesthetic. Ordered grilled cinnamon buns, Irish eggs Benedict. Jake was my server and he was kind. Coffee was flavorful. Prices were high but worth it for the quality of food.
Always a great spot to stop in for breakfast or lunch. In our party of two we had the kale salad with a poached egg on top, and french toast with home fries. They have many options for those of us dining gluten-free, which was great to learn. Fantastic and friendly service. Looking forward to returning and trying some gluten-free pancakes! Edited to add : Returned today 11/10/22 for the gluten-free pancake and California scramble. Both so delicious! Also had the vegan home fries with my eggs. Delightful!
Not only was the food amazing but Cathy was an amazing waitress. She had plenty of helpful suggestions about what to order and overall was so pleasant to chat with. She is by far one of the friendliest waitstaff I have ever encountered. I am not from the area but Toast is a wonderful local business that is worth supporting. Definitely worth the trip. Photo is of the California Scramble Dietary restrictions: I requested almond milk in my latte and it should not have had whipped cream. Cathy caught it before it made it to my table and had them fix it right away. She was on top of everything.
I walked to Toast and was very pleased with my selection, berry French toast. My partner ordered a special with English muffin, crab meat, egg Benedict and asparagus, it was a steep 22 dollars, my French toast 17. It is definitely on the expensive side for breakfast. I probably would not be leaving this reviewed if it wasn't for the fact that the coffee here is way too bitter. I ordered a cappuccino and sent it back, I asked for a latte and when it came out it was the same bitter taste. My partner who is a huge coffee drinker and doesn't even complain about airplane coffee said his coffee was also extremely bitter. We were disappointed by the an almost 50 dollar breakfast. Again my French toast was very good and his sandwich was also good...but the price, yikes too steep. Also when they tell you the specials, they should also give you the price upfront. I am sad to write this review since last fall I had the best pumpkin pancakes ever here.
Visited for brunch and had a great experience. Tom was quick, friendly and attentive. Provided great service. Food was fresh, had French Toast which was perfectly cook, along with a side of scrambled eggs also delicious. Highly recommend for a good fresh and tasty breakfast or brunch
I can’t believe I haven’t for sooner. Food was excellent, staff was very friendly and inside was so clean. Can’t wait to go again!Food: 5/5
Adorable diner with friendly staff and delicious food. We stopped in for breakfast, split a jumbo cinnamon roll and each ordered an eggs benedict variety. Coffee was great too. Highly recommend, all around!Food: 5/5
Spontaneous decision to grab lunch here as I walked by. Nice vintage diner with a simpler menu focused on the right stuff. Had the Cuban sandwich with the Brazilian press coffee and they were both really good. Tom, my waiter, was awesome too. It's been a while since I have witnessed an exceptional waiter. His comments had me laughing for a while.
Came in with a friend on a Wednesday around 11am. Was able to find parking pretty easy today but could see that it might be difficult on a Sunday morning for brunch. They've got a cute little front in Red Bank with some benches for waiting. We were seated quickly as it wasn't crowded at all. More customers came in shortly after us. The waitress and host were kind and perfectly attentive and we received our order relatively quickly. I got the iced coffee and full stack of carrot cake pancakes based on recommendation. Keep in mind that this isn't cold brew, it's just iced coffee but it was still tasty. Wow the carrot cake pancakes really are worth the hype. Perfectly fluffy and contained fresh ingredients. They come with cream cheese frosting and syrup though I don't even think these need syrup. They are SO so tasty. I recommend coming for these alone as they are a speciality item they do SO well. I very much enjoyed myself here. There is a small credit card fee.
