Stayed 4 nights in December. We enjoyed the quiet days and cool nights in this mountain area RV park away from the highway. WiFi was intermittant, but good enough for us. After comparing to a few other places in SW AZ, I wanted to emphasize how nice and quiet TTRV was. Very nice.
We stayed in our 5th wheel for over a month. There are many aspects of this RV park that we really liked. We loved the mountain views from our outside site & enjoyed that there was little ambient light which was great for sleeping & stargazing. Can't beat the size of the sites & they had vegetation between sites. All sites are pull-thru, have a concrete patio, & table. Sites are gravel & roads are paved. Staff refresh sites between stays & keep the place looking great! The laundry room was clean & had a lovely mural. We liked the hiking trails adjacent to the park and loved the location of the park as it was a short drive to state & national parks, shopping & area attractions. On the flip side, the park has limited amenities so it really is not a RV resort at this time. Pool, clubhouse, & bathrooms remain closed at owner's discretion which was well communicated to us prior to our stay. We did miss the ability to interact with others as that was not encouraged. The water pressure was low & the water was turned off without warning on one occasion during our stay. Wifi was really unusable at our site & the cable was fuzzy. We felt that the monthly rate was reasonable, but the weekly & daily rate were high. We really enjoyed our stay, but would love to come back & see it when it has opened all it's amenities & allows it's patrons to safely interact.
Loved the large pull through sites here. There were plenty of hiking trails with some connecting right to park. If you drive down the road a bit it’s 5min to the Fairbanks site and the San Pedro river. 20min from sierra vista of we needed anything for our trip. They have covid precautions and require masks inside the laundry facilities but that was perfect for us being immunocompromised. Will be staying here again!
Very nice place, it’s starting to get hot in Phoenix so we decided to explore southern Arizona a bit. We visited the San Pedro and Kartchener Caverns which were both less than 20min from the park. There is a laundry facility and dog park, the clubhouse is closed for remodeling and covid I’m told but that was fine with us as we wanted to mostly just explore the Tombstone area. Overall a great, peaceful park that’s welcoming to families!
As a first timer,I always want to share positives first when reviewing. The grounds are very well kept and the views are outstanding. The spaces are generous and the sites are spiffed up between renters with a table and cement pad at each site. The employees were helpful and friendly but very scarce except for Dave who checks on things with his ATV when cruising the grounds. Unfortunately we came from another RV resort before coming here and though the grounds and views are nicer the amenities are poor. It should not be listed as a spa as the main rec facility, pool, playground, bathrooms and showers are closed. It was listed on the website that the main entertainment building was closed due to COVID but many people we talked to did not understand that there is only one toilet and no shower available in the park. At this time only 65% of the washers and dryers are operational.though the cost of using the washers/dryers is less than most places.I don't know the public health mandates/rules for COVID in this county but other RV resorts did not have closed buildings, pools etc. due to COVID. I do understand as a private owner she has the right to dictate the rules of her business. PLEASE clarify on the website and be more specific about what is NOT available at this time. Sorry from Colorado
We have stayed here many times over the years and have enjoyed it very much. Even with the clubhouse closed there was lots to do with the hiking trails, fire ring, dog park, and Tombstone just down the road. We are trying to be as safe as possible while traveling and the restrictions seemed perfectly reasonable to us. Employees and staff were friendly and helpful. Sites were well kept, and the WiFi at our site was good, and free.
This was the worst experience ever! We are full-time RV'ers and this was park #33, so we have some experience! When we made the reservation, I ALWAYS explain we are 73 feet, 45' motorhome and 24' stacker trailer that we carry a car and motorcycle trike! And was told all sites are 80' and pull thru, so our set up is not a problem!!! When we arrived, we were greeted very nice and was escorted to our site. Before we even were all the way into our site the lady in the next site grabs her chair and yells that trailer needs to go into storage where it belongs! We felt horrible, we apologized to the man who escorted us and asked if this was going to be a problem? He replied, don't worry, they tried to implement trailers be put in storage, but everyone has toys and they would lose customers. Also, made the comment his wife said there was a corvette and he was anxious to see. The next 3 days were awful!!!! First, all amenities were closed do to covid, which I thought odd, 1st time we ran into that in over a year! The sites are nice and well kept up, but not by Janet! I think she is pretty worthless. Second, the lady next to us, everytime someone walked by, she would run up to them and complain about us. On day 2, Jan leaves a message we need to move trailer, I returned her call, she only works 12-4, I didn't get the message till after 4, so she did not return my call until the next day. She called and told us, we have 2 choices, move trailer or leave the park! We got kicked out of this park because we blocked the lady next door view, why they had their motorhome 20-30 feet from front made zero sense, anything would block their view. The reception is next to zero, we both were trying to find a new park, but our calls kept dropping. Finally successful, we moved on! Internet was just as bad! We thought this park was very unprofessional and very unethical! As we called and talked to different people, NOT ONE good comment was said, in fact where we went, we recognized several rigs! And people did not like this park. There is absolutely nothing around there and with all the amenities closed, it's a pretty boring place. I always read reviews and I admit I don't always take heed of what I read, but I do hope you will with this review. More people need to let it be known of their distaste of this place. The stress of this place was almost overwhelming, it's a horrible place. FYI Donna and her husband were very nice, I am sorry they work for Janet! One of the places I called, actually called Janet a Gestapo! It felt like a Concentration camp. Remember you are renting 80', but it's NOT YOURS!
5 years ago I moved to the area, before coming here I made reservations for monthly stay. When I arrived they lost my reservations. So I ended up parking in the wash lot no discount. The reason the pool and clubhouse are closed isn't due to covid as they state, the reason all the amenities are closed is the owner Janet has allowed her daughter to move into the clubhouse and use it as her own home. The price they are charging for no amenities is ridiculous $410 a month lmao not worth $200 a month. With so many parks around don't let yourself get taken advantage of at this park.
We stayed a couple of days in February during Covid. Super nice friendly staff. We checked in over the phone and were met at our spot which was D-2. Great views from this premium outside row spot. . Good space between spots. Close to the laundry but not to close. Good WiFi. I think the repeater is on the laundry building. After electricity .17 Kw we paid a little over $40 a night. Miles of easy hiking/biking paths around the park and just down the road that are all dog friendly. Plenty of room for the biggest of class A's even pulling 16 foot trailers. Level site with concrete patio with picnic table. Club house/ pool/ etc were closed Covid but they sure looked nice from afar. We met friendly snow birders who return every year. Reasonable monthly rates and I would snowbird here once the pool opens!
Driving to the Park I started getting nervous as our GPS told us the distance to the park. It is kind of in the middle of nowhere. It is truly a gem in the desert. Beautifully maintained grounds and facilities. Super friendly staff and one of the nicest "leash free dog parks" we have used.Service: 5/5
