I have been wanting a tractor for 2 years, went to every place and researched small homeowner tractors of all major brands. I chose TONY BATES / K2 Agriculture on Lebanon Hwy because 1, all the people there were very nice and knowledgeable about all tractors. Took time to listen, explain and advise me on the model I would need. I bought a used Mahindra yesterday from Jack / Wade. They repaired all the issues on the tractor plus did a few extras I did not request. Wade took me out back of their business and spent an hour letting me play with tractor and to show me all the functions of same. My buying process was wonderful, i love my new Mahindra tractor, and I couldn't be happier with the business I chose to buy from! Jack and Wade both were super helpful and worked to provide me with the tractor I needed at the price point I wanted to stay at. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU BUY FROM THEM!!
I haven't read the other reviews but i feel like the overall rating of this place is off. I don't normally do write reviews, but I do take them into consideration when considering a place. Last year, juneish, my mother bought a brand new 60" Zero Turn Gravely Mower. The price was a bit higher to other mowers the same size, but hey it's mom's money and she can spend it how she sees fitting. I have a 48" exmark at home for personal use, and we have a commercial grade 70" at the fire hall I'll leave the brand name out. The mower she bought last year has and continues to blow the others out of the water. She has 5 acres of what use to be a farm, so it's incredibly bumpy and uneven in areas. I mow it once a week and have had zero problems with the gravely. It keeps up with how I want to mow, easy to maintain, and incredibly durable. If I had the money I would buy a smaller one to replace my personal one at home, but despite popular belief firemen don't make a lot of money. My opinion is: This product was well worth the money. They can do maintanence on sight, if you choose. I have called a couple times and the guys in the shop have been extremely helpful and patient with me. My only complaint is that it totally had that used car dealership feel to it when we went to look at and purchase the mower.
I'm writing this for a friend of mine. We bought a new Massey Ferguson tractor in March of this year. Days after we got it home, it would just quit running. We called, they came after it, kept it a day or two, brought it back and it did the same thing. They came and got it again, brought it back said they had put a new part under the seat, it quit again while they we're still here, so the mechanic wired the button down so it would keep running. At the same time, it was making a grinding noise and my friend told the mechanic they should check it out before it really tore something up. The guy told him not to worry about it, it was still under warranty. Well, as of today, it's been at the shop, with the axles broken, which we we're told was a factory defect. It's been there since May the 5th, today is June 1st. My friend called a couple of times in the beginning and was hung up on once. Finally on May 17th, the manager, I think, called to say it would be here the middle of the next week, which would have been May 24th. Like I said, today is June1st. No tractor, no communication from them. We paid $23,000 for a tractor we could use this spring and summer. When we took it in, it had 40 hours on it and 4 of those we're on it when we got it. I would not recommend Bates for anything or to anybody. A courtesy call would be nice and the least a business can do.
Went to get fuel filter for my 2 year old mahindra tractor that was bought new from Tony Bates, they did not have one in stock and had to order. That was over two weeks ago and they have yet to call or anything. It is bad to have a tractor and be paying for something you can't use. I will never buy anything from Bates again.
They show what they have, and knowledgeable about what's out there on the lot, seem to be Straight Shooters and a square deal
These guys are a joke a disrespecting I won't even tell my worst freind to go there
