From the times that I have visited folks there, seems like a decent place with nice views of the hill country. It’s away from the city, so the stars really shine. Their entrance and exit seems backward, but maybe it’s easier for the TTs and RVs. Nearby points of interest include Smitty’s, Joshua Springs Park, Nelson City Dance Hall, PoPo’s Family Restaurant, and Kendall County Youth Expo Center.
Fantastic hospitality! Sites were nice and flat with good utility hookups. Pool, clubhouse, laundry, workout room, etc. we're exceptionally clean and well maintained. Closest place has felt like home since we started traveling!Service: 5/5
Quite!! Love that it's so quite and calm. Great pool that's cool even when it's 100+ . Clubhouse is a great place to cook and hang out when the RV just won't cool down. Recommend this park!Service: 5/5
Has the most spectacular views! From sunrise to sunset, even the night sky is beyond amazing! Away from the city and the busy life!Location: 5/5
We only got to stay for a night but what a find. We will be back. Level sites with incredible views. We got lucky finding this jewel of a campground. Highly recommended.Location: 5/5
The views are nice, the staff is nice, but the park needs some serious tlc. The premium spots in the middle of the park are the only really nice spots but lack any shade which is extremely important when staying in an rvHotel highlightsGreat view
This is a beautiful campground/resort in a rustic setting on a hilltop; easy access to Comfort and Boerne. Beautiful views surrounding. Nice view of the sunrise from our cabin window. Beautiful Joshua Springs Preserve is just across the highway. Our cabin was very clean, and the front desk staff were friendly. Overall, it's a good place. However, we did feel that the half-of-a-duplex cabin was overpriced, and there are several reasons we would not return at least to the half-duplex cabin: 1 The shower in the cabin is a camper-size shower too short for 6-ft-tall men, and too small for an adult to turn around or soap up comfortably; there are larger showers available in the clubhouse. 2 The duplex cabins have a door between the units to allow friends or families to rent both sides, but there is a large crack above the door, where you can see the light in the other side of the cabin, and can hear your neighbors speaking or watching TV. 3 We could not get our TV to turn on, and since we were out doing things from early in the morning until evening, we had no opportunity to ask the staff for help. 4 The front desk and camp store is available only 10am-6pm daily. This is a problem when we paid as much or more than we would have for a typical chain hotel that always has someone at the front desk. 5 The pool is only 4ft deep, and was so busy with children, that we were not able to enjoy it peacefully. They should have hours for adults only in the pool.
we LOVE this park...the staff is wonderful...always very helpful and accommodating. Spaces are roomy and very well maintained...The showers a d laundry have always been clean and in perfect working order every time weve been there. And the hill country views are awesome...Location: 5/5
It was a last minute stay since we had trouble with our RV and couldn’t go home until we fixed it. The owners were so nice and welcoming. Great location especially for our kids they enjoyed the pool which was very clean. Highly recommend!Service: 5/5
This was our first RV park after we first moved into our 43 ft fifth wheel & it was fantastic stay 1 year to be exact. The staff was always super friendly and helpful when we needed any type of assistance. They were able to fill up our propane tanks that they picked up from our site and dropped back off which was very convenient. The views from this park were beautiful and definitely made us feel like we were in the country which we were, but grocery stores etc were only about 10 minutes away. Our site was gravel, had enough room for our fifth wheel + an area to park both of our vehicles. They also have picnic tables on every site. Our water pressure was not great, which we did not realize until after traveling to about 10 other parks and realizing everywhere else has better water pressure, not a make or break, and potentially was just our particular spot? The water in Texas is VERY hard, and this was evident. We did end up installing a water softener in our RV which saved the day! We had 50 amp electric and paid separately for that as a monthly park guest. The park had a clubhouse which was very nice; had a small fitness area, a communal kitchen, tables, lots of books, a TV, mens and womens bathrooms + showers which were always impressively clean! They had a pool which we ended up using a lot more than we thought we would due to the excessive heat this year! We were able to get our mail delivered to the front office & they offered the essentials for sale which was handy! They had numerous doggy stations with poop bags and trash cans to make cleaning up after our fur babies very convenient. There are a LOT of deer in this area, so be careful when driving early in the morning or late at night. We also got to see a lot of armadillos and for the first time a porcupine. We explored nearby Comfort, which was a hidden gem. Lots of shops and restaurants downtown. If you are into antiques, this is the place for you! Joshua preserve is about a 3 minute drive and has 2 dog parks which we took advantage of as well. Near the end of our time here we were able to get Starlink which worked fantastic for us. We will definitely return to TOH when we are in the area!
