I found a hidden gem where one can enjoy quail enjoying their zen habitat, and chipmunks being chipmunks. Beautiful views of the valley and a peaceful walk with your family or canine friends. The grounds are immaculate and you can really enjoy the sun or the shade during warm days.
My favorite spot to walk along the river and Bosque area. Lots of wildlife, the water sounds are wonderful as is the rustling of the trees. Plenty of trails for walking, biking and horseback riding. Plainly the best river access area around.
This is a lovely park with a nice playset, open field and picnic tables. The view of the mountains and bosque is beautiful. The one thing that this park lacks is a restroom or porta potty.
Very nice trail along the bosque, popular with photographers. Gets a bit busy on the weekends and people aren’t very polite. Google directions are slightly off. You can turn on riverside or you can head toward Corrales and turn left at the “Open Space” sign.
Trailhead Park is primarily accessed by foot and is a clean and quiet spot to spend some time away from car and truck traffic. These photos were taken in the park or directly adjacent to it.
Accessible from the entrance to Trailhead Park in River's Edge I, or by walking along the Bosque from Corrales Road. It's a short walk from the park to the Rio Grande River. No facilities.
This park is absolutely gorgeous. I took my daughter pics and they came out stunning !
This park was such a nice surprise for my boys at the end of this bike trail. Looks like the main playground is under construction until April, but the toddlers' playground was open. There's also a lot of open space for running.
Great little Overlook of the Rio Grande and the Sandia. My boyfriend and I are photographers and we really liked the quick drive from Corrales as well as the perfect view of the Sandia Mountains. There was lots of Runners and people walking with their families and dogs. Next time we go I would definitely bring my dog and let her run around in the water for a little bit. We also heard some horses in the area which was nice. It seems as though someone has cleared some of the big pieces of wood out of the river, so there is makeshift seating along the water. Overall I really liked this Overlook spot. Quiet and tucked away in New Mexico is always a gem
The turn off to get to the parking lot is a little dirt road between 2 metal poles. Sometimes it can be hard to see. The lark itself has a trail with lots of benches for resting. It runs a lot the rio grande which provides more sight seeing. You can bring pets if they are leashed. I have seen coyotes roaming around here a few times so be on the look out if you're bringing a small animal.
