Train Station: Fitness in Motion is hands down the best gym in town. I have been to an array of other gyms in New England and the four throughout town if you count Planet Fitness' other locations, and this gym accommodates all fitness goals and needs. Train Station has a comfortable atmosphere for all lifters and I love that the gym has three different areas that separate me from the different athletes in the gym. With a comfortable cardio space, machine area, and free weight room, this gym makes anyone feel comfortable. And if you're interested in classes, they post a schedule everyday along with a calendar to keep you informed. I was looking for this specifically in my gym search and this pushed me out of the other local gyms. I estimate the space to be right around 10,000 square feet and everyone there wants to see you succeed. The owner, Ben, is a younger gentleman with a plethora of experience in his pockets. Whats nice about him is that he isn't just an owner, he's there almost everyday and if you're lucky he will bring his mascot and best friend, Kai, with him. Ben has a staff of personal trainers who have expertise for beginner members to advanced members looking for a facelift! And he also gives a free personal training demo with your membership! I highly recommend Train Station for any newcomers in town or anyone looking to transfer to a better gym. Don't waste your time with the other gyms in town. Did I mention they're also open 24/7?
The Train Station recently changed ownership and the new owners are awesome. They listen to their members and do whatever it takes to make their members happy e.g., adding free child care, having great specials, making sure the gym and equipment are clean, offering fun, creative, and challenging classes at hours that benefit members with all kinds of schedules, and just recently switching to 24/7 gym access. The staff is friendly and courteous, and you quickly get a real sense of "family" when you walk through the doors. Furthermore, they give back to the community whenever they can through various charity events and raffles. Be sure to say hi to their mascot, Kai a massive Newfie!, who hangs out behind the front desk. Highly recommended!
Great local gym. Have worked out here several times with a friend. Facilities are great, crowd is fun, and the owner is super nice. Will definitely look into a membership here once some arrangement is made where I can work out here and at a partner gym in Burlington during work hours. A smoothie bar near the front of the gym is great for post workout protein shakes.
