We visited the drive-in for the first time in a long time this June. We had an awesome time. First off: DO NOT skip the snack bar. Their offerings are top notch and it’s an important way for them to make money as they earn very little revenue on the actual movie. Our favorite new item were the Funnel Fries, which are like mini-strips of fried dough, reminiscent of the Erie County Fair, but so much easier to eat! Their popcorn, nachos, onion rings, fries and pretzels are also really great and totally nostalgic. I really appreciated how dedicated the staff members were in making sure that people parked appropriately to leave enough room for all guests, and also patrolled when the movie started to ensure all cars had headlights, taillights and dome lights off so that all patrons could enjoy the movie. The sound quality from their radio frequency was crystal clear. And you can’t beat the sunset view! Highly recommend this as a date night activity or a family summer time activity. A must visit if you are coming to the Buffalo Niagara region in the summer!
This Drive-In has a spectacular concession stand. Five screens with a variety of movies for everyone to enjoy. The bathrooms have enough stalls to keep the lines smaller than years past. We enjoy the nostalgia of the drive-in with modern conveniences. A great place to take the family, kids will remember their experience here for years to come. Our favorites include a pizza we all share, a big popcorn and boxes of candies.
We've been going to the Transit Drive-in for decades, and have never had a bad experience there. While we were really pleased and sometimes amazed with how well the drive-in worked and improved under Rock Cohen's management, it's been nice to see that things have stayed pretty much the same since Dipson bought the place. The concessions are still good, and fairly reasonably priced, the bathrooms are clean and well maintained, and the lots give plenty of space for each vehicle. The mini golf course has been reworked over the last few years, and our family was really happy that the old-school playground merry-go-round is still in place for the younger kids. It's not just a fun experience, but it's also a great deal for going to the movies.
Let me start of by saying this was my first time at a drive in. I must say it was a nice experience. It was cheaper for three people than going to an actual movie theater and you get to watch a double feature. Can't beat that! They have restrooms and a concession area which have a good variety of food and snacks at a reasonable price. Make sure you have your bug spray and warm blankets ready. I really had a great time and will definitely return.
Loved it. So happy we found it on our trip to the falls. This should be on the "must see" lists for visitors. Food was great and staff was wonderfull. Felt good supporting a Drive-In too.
Can I give it more than 5 stars? Perhaps I was a little to excited about this part of our vacation. But I got to see Top Gun -Maverick at a drive-in theater!! I didn't even care that it was raining nearly the whole time. It was a great experience!! The concession building has a wall of photographs of hundreds of stars, many of which are signed. That was fun to peruse. There are 5 screens and a mini golf course as well. Loved it!
We Have not been to drive in in years. So much fun! The weather was perfect ! The movie was great and the food was tasty! They even had fav funnel fries … so good! The only thing I would comment on is it was a little confusing exiting very darkmaybe have people directing when exiting.
Looking for something awesome to do with your kids? The drive in is amazing, a little bit of a drive and it'll make for a long night but it's awesome. My son broke his arm so our typical summer of amusement parks, sports, and swimming is out the window...we needed an alternative. $20 for 2 movies plus snack money very affordable compared to normal theaters for 6 hours of entertainment. Don't skip the warm brownies they are the best. Wasn't crowded which makes me think not enough people know about this treasure. Even watching 2 mediocre movies was great, we will be back.
It is sad that of the thousands of drive-ins back in the day only 400 remain in the US. I always enjoy going during the summer months. You tune in to a radio station for sound. If your lucky enough to have one I bring my portable radio so I don't end up like the guy next to me whos car battery was drained by the end of the second feature. Also it's not usually an issue but for some reason tonight a bunch of parents let their kids play and run around the playground in the dark during the second movie. I found it very rude because we could hear them better than the movie and non of the staff did anything about it either. Otherwise always a good time to watch outdoors under the stars and moon!
Loved the experience here! Great picture and sound quality. : Staff were friendly and helpful. The concession stand was great and had a large variety of foods and drinks. We got the jalapeno cheese stuffed pretzel and mozzarella sticks, which were delish! Nice bathroom with several stalls located in the concession building. Can't wait to go back!
