I had an experience very similar to a previous customer where I was at the salon for over five hours, left with an almost wet head, and was rushed out on top of it. In addition to this, my hair did not turn out at all how it was supposed to. I had asked for a nice ash blonde color and provided a picture of my hair that I had from the Summer of 2021, and ended up with a balayage that was very similar to what I had went into the salon with already, but a darker version, which makes no sense since I was supposed to be blonde. I told them as I was leaving that I was not happy with how it turned out and they reassured me that I could come back in and get it fixed free of charge. Well, I called them today and was told that they had no record of this and that because I couldn't remember the lady who told me this that they would not be able to honor that, and that I could come in to get it fixed but would have to pay again. While I completely understand that these are students in training and that they may make mistakes, it is not fair to us customers to have to pay again in order for them to be fixed. I am also displeased that I was promised one thing and rejected it when asking for it today, as it is clear to see by the pictures that the two hair colors are not even remotely the same. I really hope that this issue does not happen to anyone else, and that my situation can be worked out. I will say that the student I had Madelyn was very nice though and quite understanding and reassured me as well that if I was unhappy I could come back in to get it fixed. I also give her credit as she owned up to her mistakes and recognized that the toner did not take correctly on my hair as well. I look forward to a response, thank you.
First time here for allover color for my daughter! Lexie was our stylist and is beyond amazing! She and my daughter connected immediately and my daughter enjoyed their conversations! And her hair color is awesome!!
Kiarrah does my hair and she does so amazing she is so polite and talkative so it’s not awkward when getting my hair done! This is the third time coming to her and I’m never disappointed! I did have to wait like 45 mins before she could start working on my hair because she needed a teacher to sign off on my sheet which I know Kiarrah had no control over but if the teachers could keep in mind of clients waiting. Other than that I love it I will definitely be a regular client for Kiarrah
I went in for a manicure, pedicure, wax and Scalp conditioning. 3 hours later this is what I looked like. The student was very nice. But I feel like she is getting ripped off with this education. I don't mean to sound rude but this was a horrible experience. The manni and pedi took 2 hours. Then the scalp massage only lasted 5 minutes and the rest of the time was blow drying my hair. When I left my hair was still wet. They had forgot about the waxing and I wasn't going to stay any longer so I didn't bring it up.
I have been coming here for years... just love getting my hair highlighted/ cut by the students. They have always done a great job and the price is very good, especially if on a budget. Students are learning, so it may take a bit longer... and remember the teachers are always there to check on you and student...TRY IT!
I had a great experience with Jessica N and getting a perm. She was easy to work with, and did an amazing job. Looking forward to my next appointment for more services.
Never EVER will I go there again. I wanted my roots lightened to match the rest of my hair. They DARKENED my roots!!! Then they made me pay and expect me to pay for the repair. Not happening!!!
Jessica DiGioia foiled my hair and gave me a haircut. The color is a beautiful, soft blonde highlight with a caste that looks iced from the toner. My hair looks so natural yet clearly is the most professional work. Jessica is friendly, professional, and consultative. She listened to my desires and also provided expert advice. I highly recommend Jessica and the Mario Tricoci University in Janesville!
Riley T. did an incredible job with my mullet and peak-a-boo green dye. Instructors were very kind and supportive, the school has a wonderful environment!
I was a student here and they terminated me 3 days before my graduation. It’s unheard of, every other beauty school has said they never heard of it. It’s been over a month, and they’ve been holding my transcript hostage. Not only that, I had to deal with racism from my teacher as well and the head instructor and school administrator. My classmates were caught recording me without my consent with intent to be malicious and they did nothing about it! I had to take matters into my own hands and contact the janesville police to file a proper report. They let that girl that was recording me graduate, and kicked me out... I was the only minority in my class so that should explain a lot. I came here everyday from sun prairie and sacrificed so much time away from my son just for them to strip me from all my hard work, gas money, and time. I just feel bad for any new students that attend there, I don’t think they should be allowed to run a business. They’re very unprofessional, it felt like high school all over again! I thought this was a college, and I thought we were all trained “professionals.” But I guess not. The head instructor laughed in my face when I came back from a COVID leave for my SON. Refused to give me a LOA because SHE failed to respond to my emails promptly. I’m suffering for her inconvenience? I think not. I just pray for any future minority students that attend this hell hole.
