Championing a Trinity River that forever deepens our connection to one another and nature.
The Trinity Park Conservancy champions the transformation of the Trinity River to become the heart of Dallas. With the community, we will design public spaces that unite us, enrich people’s lives through access to nature, create economic development opportunities, and inspire protection for the river ecosystems in this shared natural treasure.
On January 27, 2017 The Trinity Trust Foundation, a Texas nonprofit organization, officially changed its name and modified its charter and by-laws to expand its mission and become Trinity Park Conservancy. The Conservancy will be responsible for the fundraising, education, design and development of the Trinity River Park as part of Dallas’ Trinity River Corridor Project, the largest civic project of its kind in the U.S. consisting of 20 miles and 10,000 acres of green space.
Since 2004, The Trinity Trust Foundation has been successful securing private funds in support of the Trinity River Corridor Project, including the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge, Margaret McDermott Bridge, Ronald Kirk Bridge, trails and more. With the announcement on October 31, 2016 of the historic Simmons gift of $50 million for the Trinity River Park, the Trust began transitioning into the Conservancy in order to take on a more involved role.
