A long wait. I'm not sure if they are short-handed or if it is typical for them to run operations with just two employees. I ordered a berry bliss, and they made a limey. They did remake my smoothie immediately. They were nice employees but seemed a little stressed with the amount of customer flow inside and in the drive-thru. All in all, my smoothie was delicious.
Smoothie was horrible, I always order a peanut paradise with whey protein this tastes just like straight up whey protein I don’t taste any peanut butter or banana and the texture is clumpy and powdery. So disappointing not coming back here any time soon…
The smoothie was decent, but i misread the menu and i got charged for an add on that i thought was complimentary. A decent experience and worth a look if you are in the area. But if you arent then I would not make a special trip.
Great fast smoothies, especially if you go during half-off happy hour from opening to 9am. Caution on the Turbinado Sugar: Remove it’s just brown sugar which has zero nutrition. My favorite smoothie is the Detox Island Green, which by default comes without turbinado sugar.
Starting with positive- my youngest son loves Tropical Smoothie Cafe. I like the variety of healthy options & something different. But as the parent, ordering, picking it up & dealing with employees = not so much. In fact, I find myself trying to talk him into something else. We've been maybe 5 times over the last few years & EVERY time has been frustrating & or a disappointment. From ordering on-line, to in person or drive through, it's just made to be so difficult. I ordered on-line the other day, drive 20 minutes from another city, 5 minutes after order was said to be ready, waited in the drive through for pick-up another 10 minutes & was still questioned on our order, more than just the name, what was in the order, what time was it ordered, was it paid for, order number ... just not convenient. Infact, it's a headache.
Great smoothies and friendly people. Love those maple sweet potatoes! They have a good frequent customer program. Probably 4.7 stars because of parking flow.
Found this place because of T-Mobile Tuesday rewards. Came and man the smoothies were amazing better then Jamba Juice and others around my area. Today’s my second day coming this is my new spot to come hopefully try all the flavors. The only think I don’t like is that the foods are small portions definitely would not fill me up however the smoothies are amazing. Awesome staff too very friendly
Terrible customer service, if you’re like me and you attempt to use the loyalty system/app or fill out the survey on their receipt they refuse to honor it. TSC used to be my go-to spot for smoothies as they had a pretty good loyalty program but not anymore, guess I’ll be getting my smoothies elsewhere now. A lot of the TSC spots in south Orange County have closed down and now I can see why. I even bought one of their reusable cups for smoothies as they used to give you a discount for saving them money on a cup but apparently they don’t honor that anymore either. The last time I’d come in with a coupon code they didn’t know what to do with it, and the store owner/manager came out and said that I needed a picture of the code on my phone as well as on the receipt which I didn’t have. Came in prepared with both this time and the server, rather than just be honest with me and tell me that he couldn’t give me the discount or didn’t know how to do it, he instead pretended to give me the discount and hoped that I wouldn’t notice. When questioned he tried to get his coworkers to help but they just told me that they “aren’t doing that anymore.” Disappointing. Guess there isn’t any sense in wasting my time filling out their surveys if they aren’t even going to honor their own deal. Unlike what it may say on the receipt, TSC most definitely does not listen.
My husband, son and I have made Tropical Smoothie Cafe our go-to stop for smoothies every morning on our way to work. I'm currently sipping away at a delicious "Mocha Madness" and it keeps me going, I'll tell you.
