So, long description that goes deeper than just telling you that you need to stop by?
Well... where to get started...
Why not the beginning... So, here goes...
In 2005 we left the Amish and moved down here to the Mount Vernon area and in 2008ish we took over Troyer's Country Cupboard in the strip mall at the main entrance to Apple Valley lake. It worked like a charm and peopled loved us, so for years we dreamed about getting bigger... and now, FINALLY, we did... much bigger.
Basically, at Troyer's we have a lot of Amish type foods... For instance, our huge array of baked goods (pies, breads, cookies, bars, and such) is made here at Troyer's by mostly Amish bakers. We also have Amish style Microwaveable meals that are super good (if I have to say so myself- I'm thinking about eating right now, actually) and very high quality meats and cheeses that we'll slice for you while you shop.
On top of all the Amish style food, we also carry a lot of basic foods like milk, butter, Nickles bread, tomatoes, onions, and so forth. Then comes the really big display of candies, nuts, and the snack mixes that'll make any day better... as far as taste goes, anyway.
Next, we can't forget about our frozen section full of veggies, fruits, steaks and other meats, and a bunch of food to deep-fry like fries and cheese sticks.
And if you're ever in the area and hungry, our lunch is served all day and it's filled with sandwiches, salads, and my favorite - the deep-fried chicken strips and fries with our own special sauce. You won't be disappointed.
So, if you eat food and like it, then Troyer's is the place to come. You'll love it!
