Very nice place. Wonderful welcome by fantastic @Kimo. The location is exceptional for the natural environment.Rooms: 5/5
We spent 4 nights here and had a wonderful time! Very peaceful and plenty of wildlife to view. The fish were not biting, but still a lot of fun. We also visited the Travertine Hot Springs and made a day trip up to Bridgeport, great time all the way around.
We spent two nights at this beautiful campground in September! It was beautiful and serene by the lake with the mountains in the background! The bathrooms were spotless and stocked well with double ply toilet paper a true luxury! Also there was hand sanitizer soap by the water Spicket outside the bathroom which was so very much appreciated! Our camp host Kemo was amazing! He circled the campground in his truck many times a day to check on all of us and help with any questions or problems we may have had and he also was well stocked with firewood and delivered it directly to our sites! He also had a book borrowing cubby that was a very nice added touch to make the campground feel very homey and welcoming! Lastly and most importantly Kemo helped us when we found our Subaru dead at our campsite! He brought his truck over with cables and jumped it for us and gave us very good recommendations on where to go in the area for servicing and a new battery! We would highly recommend Trumbull campground to anyone interested in a memorable wilderness experience and Kemo is absolutely a top-notch camp host!! Thank you Kemo!!
Decent campground, but be prepared for the high altitude and the mosquito's. If you are not use to being at higher altitudes camping at over 9,500ft can present some challenges and give you headaches. We went in late June 2020 and the mosquito's were out in force, I was told that in July and August they taper off. Campground was clean and relatively quiet. There have pit toilets and running water but no showers, and there isn't any option for showers in Bridgeport either. Make sure to use the bear boxes as there are bears in the area.
My husband and I LOVE this campground! -I actually went camping here as a little kid so I have such great memories. The freshest and cleanest air you could ask for! And the stars at night are SO gorgeous from here! The campground is clean, has bathrooms and dumpsters as well as bear boxes.
Quiet and serene. Beautiful lakes and great trails. The camp host went above and beyond. Even delivers firewood to site.
Awesome camping spot! Nothing but quiet, and fresh air! It was the Best camping trip yet for me! It is Total roughing it as far as camping! I was sad to leave! But no worries, I will be back for Many years to come! Look at that picture! There was smoky mist floating on the top of the water, and the only thing you can hear is birds sometimes, fish jumping, and the rest is Dead Silent! I Highly recommend it of course!
The most beautiful scenery, great hikes, freshest air, deep blue skies, awesome afternoon thunderstorms, the best smell of fresh pine and rain ever! Very serene and life changing. Pure heaven!
The Campground had large camping sites with a lot of space in between. The host, Kimo, was great and helpful. He kept all toilet facilities clean and spotless. I have never been to a Campground that kept it's facilities so clean. Thank you Kimo for a great stay.
Love this Campground first time here had a great time fishing. Walking my dog around and enjoying the campground love the scenery in the mountain areas great hiking area as well. First come first serve I would recommend getting there early in the season and don't wait until the weekend to get there
