Worst experience ever. First my emails were never answered. Had to go in person to find out about my financial aid. They said I qualified for $6,000. Never received the money and they want payment already. Then they tell me that I will only get $2,000. That won’t cover the cost of classes and books. So frustrating! Go somewhere else.
Great school just have been harassed by few women into my account in TSTC. It's been compromised. Also police department need to not ask females something in return.
I only needed my transcripts from 1999, so looooong ago. The campus is bigger and their buildings are nice and cold!! Definitely a bonus in this monster hot climate. I talked to 3 people and they were all super helpful and very professional. I waited in an area with nice couches and a TV. I got my transcripts in just a few minutes- super fast and super easy. If you need to physically pick up your transcripts you want to go to building 20 ME. I'd originally gone to the student services center at 20EK.
I tried calling no answer I even left voicemails and emails no response been like 3 weeks so I can register for my cyber security classes and aid help. Just today I applied at another college and they responded fast, professional, helped me set up an interview after my pre test scored so high I beat all applicants and was top even the director of cyber of that school wanted me in I start classes soon for that school. This school just really really bad at communicating and responding fast to students of the future. Wonder how many students they lost due to bad communication.
I have contacted the counselors and even the board of directors and NO ONE has contacted me, It has been months. This is not the first time this has happened. Don't even bother enrolling at this college, the people here don't care about you.
The beaucracy is no help, hours back and forth just to keep calling help desk. Teachers are great, but the websites and so many links it's stupid not to have all info on one site. Missing this semester after planning all year. Spent hours online and over the phone just not to go. I've had a very bad experience here over and over again.
The place is horrible when I came back I was forced to go to go a program called STARS program by Norma Salazar which was supposed help me but instead everyone wasted my time with unnecessary group meetings which there no point to them at all, they assign me a mentor who never show themselves to me at all which they only inform AFTER the semester was over. I couldn't say no to them because it was mandatory or the classes that I PAY would be taken away, and as for the learning program I absolutely learned nothing at all I kept asking Garnet Gaither for help time and time again every time I had ask for his help from him but he would plainly ignore me or 'help me' by giving me zero at the spot. There was another teacher, Elizabeth Martinez who once tried to humiliate me all because she Failed to inform me that she wasn't going to be in class to help me with my work, and tried to put the BLAME on me because refused to do her job. I literally have wasted more than a thousand dollars out of my own pocket and I would not recommend no one any classes that involve computers or listening to the STARS program because you are wasting more than a 1,000 dollars learning on something you could be doing by yourself without wasting more thousand of dollars. They just try to be acting nice only to not help you. The only good thing I can say is the cafeteria and bookstore are at least doing their jobs.
This is my first semester attending tstc and I was very nervous since it has been years of me not going to school, yet the school and the staff made it very easy for me to register and to feel comfortable here. I am passing all my classes the teachers are so far amazing. The reason putting a 4 star review has to deal with the internet wifi here and the library computers. They are so slow. Overall the school is amazing.
Best school I have ever been to. Super affordable tuition. It inspire me to continue my education in a top school. I met math instructors who were there helping me all the step of the way from Devry and Texas A&M and I didn't have to pay that much. I am currently pursuing a degree in mechanical and software engineering but doing all my basics here and all my maths to save money. Crazy to say me and my friend got to Nasa thanks to TSTC. We are currently on our way to pursue our Bachelor's degree and we do our internships there.
Quality education at low tuition rates. Friendly faculty and staff. Plenty of services and events for students and their families throughout the year. Completed my AAS. Biology here to transfer out. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a top notch entrance institution.
