Enjoyed a great tour! Jonah was a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable, I learned a lot about the cave facts and history from him, and he was engaging and very upbeat, made our time such a joy. Almost didn't stop at this cave but glad we did! The cave is beautiful, relaxed, beginner friendly. With my twisted ankle I managed just fine at the easy pace, some stairs but nothing I couldn't handle. Took about an hour and 20 minutes to complete. Highly recommend!!
This was such a great experience!!! Very comfortable to get here from Townsend lots of signs guiding you throughout and they had ample parking space out front. We bought our tickets no online reservation was necessary in the shop and bought some fudge and a Smokies shot glass as we waited for our turn. The fudge is really good! Lizzie was our guide and she was very knowledgeable. We saw many formations in the caves that have developed so beautifully over the years. The highlights of the tour are when they switch off the lights in the cave and of course, the pretty waterfall. The cave has quite a few steps up and down and in some areas you'll have to bend and walk as the roof of the cave is very low. We highly recommend this wonderful experience!
Awesome way to escape the heat! Our guide Chance was incredible. Very informative, fun & laidback. Our favorite part of the tour was pitch black moment when the lights went off. Such a cool experience.Visited onWeekendWait timeUp to 10 minPrice for adult entry$21–30
We absolutely LOVED coming here. It was my husband's first time going to a cavern and I'm so happy that this was his first experience. I loved how it was natural & rugged while still feeling safe walking through. Only downside is there were some teenage boys who trailed behind the group and would splash into the water to drink some. Little annoying but didn't ruin the experience or anything!
My family and I went and we had a blast. Our tour guide was awesome and did a great job educating us all about the cave, its history, even some geology and chemistry as we were walking through! I also appreciated that it was family owned/operated and that many of the fam members were there working that very day. Lots of steps, wasn't hard for me, but if you have any mobility issues it could be daunting.
Very cool experience! Everyone was very hospitable and welcoming. Our tour guide Lizzie was very knowledgeable! She answered any questions our group had. Pretty long tour which I appreciated! Lots of neat formations to see. Plus a waterfall! The walkways where easy to walk on and they weren’t super slick. Biggest cavers I’ve been too. It was 98 degrees and going down in the cave felt like air conditioning! Which I loved. Don’t forget the homemade fudge in the gift shop!
Very large group tour. Had time to enjoy the features and really take in the experience even though there was a large group. Lots of steps! Some places are very slippery so definitely recommend shoes with some grip.Visited onWeekendWait time10–30 minReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$21–30
Very beautiful experience. Tour took about an hour and a half. The tour guide was informative and interactive. We brought our 6 month old along and carried him the whole way, which was fine, but there are a lot of slippery parts.Visited onWeekdayWait timeUp to 10 minReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$21–30
What a fantastic amazing experience! I would highly recommend. Such a unique thing to see. The waterfall was my favourite part. Just a heads up, there are a lot of stairs. Over 85 Wear proper footwear. Bring a jacket. It was 103 outside with humidity and only 53 degrees in the caverns. Also, the stairs are steep and uneven as is the ground it’s a cave so expected but if you have mobility or balance issues that’s something consider. Our guide was wonderful and knowledgeable and the fossils and dinosaur teeth on display found in the cave were truly amazing.
We had recently visited Linville Caverns and this place is SOO much larger and a much better experience. I could not believe how large it was and it had a waterfall, underground river and multiple rooms that were mind boggling. Our guide was excellent, and while there were quite a few steps 100+, it was worth the effort. When you got down to the bottom it opened up in both directions. It was worth the 20 min drive from pigeon forge, I highly recommend it. Pictures do no justice for the real thing.
