Tupelo Honey

About

Our Southern dishes & libations are served with a creative twist & a smile, & we serve our guests nothing that we wouldn’t want on our own supper table.

Description

Tupelo Honey Cafe first opened its doors in Asheville, NC in 2000. Considered one of the pioneers of Asheville's farm-to-table movement, we’ve continued to serve fresh, scratch-made Southern fare and put new twists on old Southern dishes and cocktails.

We’ve grown up from our humble beginnings as a single restaurant in the heart of Downtown Asheville and now have several locations across the Southeast. Each location not only continues the legacy of the original restaurant with creative, eclectic, imaginative food, but continues to foster a hometown feel through local art, local charitable outreach, local brews and responsibly sourced ingredients.

Our Greenville restaurant is the fourth Tupelo Honey location, which opened in 2013.

"Tupelo Honey is a revival of Southern food and traditions rooted in the Carolina Mountains we call home. We craft brunches, lunches and suppers that bring family and friends around the table and allow for conversations and cocktails to linger longer than usual."

This was a wonderful place to celebrate my birthday ! We enjoyed it immensely! Even though we arrived 30 mins b4 closing & they accommodated our party of 6! And Alexander, our server was phenomenal! And we all tried something different & sampled each others dishes! So you can't go wrong with anything you choose! I thoroughly enjoyed this birthday being celebrated here. Parking: There's a parking garage very close to it. But you do have to pay. Even on Sundays.
Went for brunch with friends and we were seated right away with our reservation. Asked to move outside due to nice weather and they accommodated quickly with no fuss. We all ordered something different and all food came out looking delicious and plentiful. I highly recommend the Blueberry Waffles and add the Grits. Staff was attentive the entire time and made sure our coffee never ran low and always was quick to remove plates. Even after finishing our meals we never felt rushed out.
My husband made a reservation for brunch for my birthday because we had heard such great things about this restaurant. They have a great house check in process. Our waiter was very nice not super suggestive and I don't remember being asked if we had ever been there before. I love the sound of a mega mimosa, but to me it wasn't very mega for the price but tasty. I would call the mimosa large versus mega. The food was just OK to me. The biscuit that they bring out by itself was amazing! I had the chicken and waffles and it was kinda bland. I do plan to return maybe for dinner just to give it another shot because the reviews are really good and the place was actually very busy.
Everything about this place was great. The Asheville hot chicken and waffles were amazing with so much flavor. It has a little sting with the spice but it isn’t too hot. The smothered chicken was traditional but good. The only bad thing with the food was that the Brussels sprouts were burnt and dry as if they were sitting for too long. The special lemonades were good and the service was spot on. Highly recommend for sure.
Amazing amazing food like wow impressive. I celebrated my 21st with good food and yummy mimosas and had a good experience. However, even if you place a reservation they will not seat you unless you have your total party with you. I had to wait outside a little awkwardly while I waited for my family to get there. Our server, Terry was very attentive and kind. Helped us with everything we needed very quickly and actively celebrated with us. We’re definitely coming back!
There was a wait on arrival but they offered to sit us at the bar where we had a couple beers, once seated we experienced wonderful service and even better food.. the meatloaf was exquisite. I definitely would go back
The menu is great especially for non alcoholic options. The pineapple Fresca is very good! The food is fairly priced. It’s not amazing but pretty good. Smash burger could be better, it definitely lacked flavor. The location is great with indoor and outdoor dining options.Food: 4/5
= ! My 2nd time eating here, and this time I had to leave a review. The meatloaf was incredible! The grits with goat cheese is incredible! Chicken and waffles that my son had was delectable as well. The service this time wasn't quite as good as last time, but I still put it close to five stars overall. Great place, I'll be back. Kid-friendliness: Good choices
One of the better brunch places I’ve been to! The wait was long45min but not bad compared to some other places I’ve tried, and I didn’t have a reservation. The food was good, I had the country style chicken and waffles. My lady said it had too much black pepper but I didn’t think so, and although it wasn’t the best looking fried chicken, looks can be deceiving, because it was tender juicy and flavorful. The waffles were good as well, not overpowering sweet. The mega blueberry lavender mimosa and peach don’t kill my vibe sangria was also good! I got a banana pudding to go, wasn’t sure if it was gonna taste good or not, but I was not disappointed, and decided to take a few photos
The food was absolutely delicious. Our service was pretty quick during what seemed to be a busy Friday lunch period. The atmosphere was great. The restaurant is much larger than it appears, and there is seating back near the bar as well as outside. After walking through downtown Greenville, it was nice to sit down the air conditioning and eat delicious food.
