Since we specialize in pediatric dentistry for children, our office and staff is specially designed for their age-appropriate needs. About our Doctors:
Dr. Jason Turner graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Georgia State University in 1995, a Master’s degree from Augusta State University in 2000, and a Doctorate of Medical Dentistry at the Medical College of Georgia in 2001. Dr. Turner practiced as a general dentist in Hiram, Georgia for 4 years. In 2005, Dr. Turner attended the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas to further his education in treating the comprehensive dental needs of children. He completed his Pediatric Dental Residency in 2007 and moved back to Georgia to practice pediatric dentistry. Dr. Turner is certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Georgia Dental Association and the American Dental Association. In addition, he is part-time faculty in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the Medical College of Georgia where he is a clinical instructor. Dr. Turner loves working with children and is an advocate for child related issues within the community, state, and nationwide. Dr. Turner is married and has one child. He enjoys running, playing golf, and spending time with friends and family during his spare time.
Dr. Andrew Shoemaker graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He spent two years working for Lockheed Martin in Marietta before returning to dental school. Dr. Shoemaker received his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry at the Medical College of Georgia where he graduated number one in his class in 2014 and completed the Pediatric Dental Residency Program at the same institution. Following graduation, Dr. Shoemaker worked as a full time faculty member at the Medical College of Georgia where he trained both dental students and pediatric dental residents. He has given lectures at national dental meetings discussing the management of special needs patients and technological advancements in the practice of pediatric dentistry. In addition, Dr. Shoemaker is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Georgia Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. Dr. Shoemaker is married and has two young boys. He enjoys tennis, soccer, golf, running, and spending time with family.
