Great place to chill after a great day skiing. Nice views of the ski runs at Squaw oops...PalisadesFood: 5/5
Great little spot right off the slopes. You pay for the closeness but it was probably the best burger I've had up in the lake Tahoe area. Drinks were good and my wife said it was an excellent bloody Mary. Server was polite and chill. Live music on the patio, can't beat it.
22 Bistro, in my opinion, has always been one of the better dining options in the Squaw Valley Village / Palisades Tahoe Village. Their current menu features a good number of small dishes / appetizers, and gastro pub type food including sandwiches, sliders, tacos, and more. The food is tasty and also reasonably priced, especially when compared to other choices on the mountain. Unfortunately, this, just like all other restaurants in the area, is impacted by understaffing issues leading to early closures and drops in quality.
Overall the atmosphere was lovely, but tbh, the food was only mediocre. The wait staff was friendly and fairly attentive, however we were “forgotten” and the 2nd round of drinks we ordered never arrived. We couldn’t get anyone’s attention so we paid at the outside bar and left. We are here for a week but we won’t be back Food: 2/5
Great views, great food and fun place to be. Attended Chef Billy's special Maine Coast Lobster 3 course feast tonight and it was excellent. Just know when eating outside other locals like the meat bees will join you. Just set a plate with something on it away from you and they'll land there. They don't sting or bite unless you grab ahold of one a squish it. They are as annoying as flies, but no more or less dangerous.
Everything was DELICIOUS and it was reasonably priced for the kind and amount of food you get. Nice ambiance, too, but a little cramped for groups.
It's very cold late in the back room: I was literally shivering for half of our 2.5 hour dinner. I had an excellent Oberon red wine and fantastic food. Our menu cod, Buddha bowl, mushroom pappardelle pasta was different than the normal menu, but from everything I saw, I am confident the back of house would execute anything well. Service was OK. Considerate but minimally attentive. We had 3 servers for our ~20 person group -- very generous coverage -- but they were only minimally around and forgot my neighbor's 2nd drink. Not sure if they were working another section, likely so.
Rather dry and uninspiring ahi Caesar salad - I had to ask for extra dressing. Couldn’t find the egg, lemon juice or olive oil typical of this dish. Sliders rather surprisingly had blue cheese on them. Music good, right volume. Friendly staff.
Worst place you could eat at in Tahoe / Squaw Valley, Service is beyond rude and food is very much on the ok side. You’ll be much happier going anywhere else, if possible!Food: 2/5
Food is pretty good but the service is beyond bad. Been here multiple times and every time it was very obvious our waiter was making an active effort to ignore our efforts to get her attention. I think we went a solid 20mins trying to get her to notice us and she just pretended to stare away... Would not recommend
