Mission Statement:
It is the mission of the Twiggs County Fire & Rescue to prevent the loss of life, and to control or reduce the loss of property for the citizens of Twiggs County. We strive to accomplish this through punctual response to emergency situations, fire suppression, rescue, public education, and community outreach. It is our #1 priority to protect the lives and property of the citizens in which we serve.
Twiggs County Fire & Rescue is comprised entirely of volunteers from across the county. We have about 40 volunteers and are always looking for more.
The department has 4 stations county-wide:
District 1: Balls Church Rd. Fire & Rescue
District 2: Industrial Park Fire & Rescue
District 3: Pearson Fire & Rescue
District 4: Dry Branch Fire & Rescue
The cities of Jeffersonville and Danville also have their own individual fire departments.
