The Twin Cities Jazz Festival, established in 1998, is a non-profit organization with a mission to keep the art form of jazz alive and well in our community.
The 20th annual Twin Cities Jazz Festival, June 21 – 23, 2018, continues as a free family-friendly event expecting to attract over 60,000 people to the vibrant, joyful sounds of jazz. Festival events are held in and around beautiful Mears Park in the heart of downtown Saint Paul’s historic Lowertown neighborhood.
The Twin Cities Jazz Festival is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization. Utilizing the tradition and models of the United States premier civic jazz festivals, the organization has a mission to:
-Establish and grow a civic summer jazz festival in the Twin Cities celebrating the past, present and future of America's music...jazz
-Foster significant community access, interest, and appreciation for the Twin Cities diverse cultural resources as evidenced through jazz and related arts
-Maximize exposure of young musicians and artists to Jazz and related art forms through performance, presentations and educational opportunities during the festival
-Bringing world class jazz artists to the Twin Cities, artists that the area might not have the opportunity to experience otherwise
-Offering free performances accessible to all
The Twin Cities Jazz Festival has grown over the past 20 years through the vision and support of our contributors, partnerships and the City of Saint Paul. We thank them, all of our great volunteers, our production crew, our Board and all others who help make this festival happen.
