"Tycoon Flats is a 35 year old San Antonio icon residing in a converted 1920's gas station. We have amazing specialty Burgers, over 28 different flavors, as well as great sandwiches, salads, full bar w/hand-crafted Margaritas that even made the Wall Street Journal. Incredible over the top gourmet burgers! These are not cheap burgers, they’re show stoppers. The husband had the stuffed bacon blue, daughter had the stuffed bacon cheddar and I had the chicken fried bacon burger. That with a side of fried pickles, we were singing hallelujah and went home with left overs for later. Perfect birthday spot on their patio. Super friendly staff.
I do love their signature burgers there. Never once have I had bad service. They have changed a few things, mini signature burgers are a bit smaller and the sangria has gone through a few recipe changes. Other then that I find this the best place for a gourmet juicy burger. Vegetarian options: They other a black bean burger, which isn't bad.
I ordered the Southwest Panini because the burger was going to be a bit too much for me that day & I’m glad I did. It was the perfect portion & very tasty. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something a little different. The sweet potato fries are delish & so are the burgers. Took a bite from my husband’s. :
Food is delicious The atmosphere is great it’s outdoor and indoor dining. They have a great burger selection! The fried pickles were soo addicting and went great with the ranch. I had the Wednesday special again with chips and I loved it . Same as before! The wings are good and definitely have a good spice. The service has been great we had the same server forgot his name but he’s always attentive and friendly. You gotta try it. Despite all the construction to improve the strip it’s still easy to find the parking lot with all the signs .
We stopped in Saturday night to celebrate a graduation. We were seated promptly for a party of 7. My daughter loves their Soutwest chicken panni, that is her go to! I was craving something different so I ordered the steak and grilled peaches salad -I enjoyed it! We also had the pineapple bacon burger - that was a big burger! Our waiter Avery and the staff did a fantastic job taking care of us! He made excellent suggestions and checked on us at just the right times. We appreciate the great service and will be back again.
We were looking for a place with parking and Tycoon Flats fit the bill. They said there was construction but we just followed all the signs right to the restaurant. It was a rainy day and we stopped by for a beer and burger! Our waitress was Olivia she served the beers and drinks up as she was the bartender also. Dinner was great and we enjoyed our time here today. As we enjoyed our meals the owners Malcom and Rick stopped by to see how things were. It was nice speaking with them and knowing they were willing to greet customers.
Food was very scrumptious. Fish tacos were well seasoned and their burger was juicy. Our server was friendly and on point with our drinks. Will come again.Food: 5/5
Tycoon flats is by far my favorite burger spot in San Antonio. The burgers as well as any other items are always filled with so much flavor and are so delicious. The only thing that always bothers me when I go is I order my burger medium rare and they are always well done every time. Not sure if that’s because the burger pattys are too thin to even attempt a medium rare, but if the cooking options are on the menu I would hope my burger came out the way I asked. Still a damn good burger, only wish it was cooked the way I asked and ordered. Also they took the creme brûlée off the menu a few months ago I wish they would have kept it but maybe just on a specific day of the week. It was always my favorite. Some days I went just for the creme brûlée and drinks.
Seriously Yummy! Love the Feta Cranberry Burger! Tycoon Flats is delicious, relaxed, and creative. It's a great place to meet up with friends. The music is always upbeat. Service is friendly and fast; and I've been happy with every burger I've tried. They Do have Gluten-Free buns! Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free Hamburger Buns available
The steak peach salad, YUM! If you go on the weekend, ask for Alex! She was amazing and had the best service. Very attentive and gave us a great experience.Food: 5/5
