Everything they told us was a lie! They said they would put a hold on our card for $1,000 and they wouldn't charge it until we got back. That's was so we could pay with a different card when we got back. They immediately charged $1,001 the next day! Next, we told them we didn't need their insurance because we had our own insurance, when we got back they charged us $286 for insurance anyway and wouldn't remove the charge. If I could give them no stars I would. SCAMMERS BUYER BEWARE!
I always love renting UHauls but this location is a scam. They do not report the correct gas or mileage at the time of pickup and then they put you through to customer service to file the discrepancy. Scammed me out of gas and mileage! This location overcharges and the manager is beyond rude. I recommend the North Ave location better! Update: Customer service rectified the situation thank goodness for them!
Terrible. They charged my card 6 times for a total of over $400 when It was only supposed to be once. They blamed it on my card but the money kept getting taken out. The money still has yet to be refunded to my account. PLEASE avoid this place !!
Everyone I came into contact with was very nice and extremely helpful.
My parents had a hitch installed on their car here years ago. When my mom took it back to have it removed, they messed something up and made it so that her back lights would keep failing. She took it back to them to say they did something wrong and they claimed that they didn't see anything wrong. She took it to the mechanic and then the mechanic said that there were definitely wires that they cut. If only we could send them the bill.
I needed to get a hitch I purchased online installed on a Nissan Rogue. I called and got a rough estimate on how long it would take and cost. I made a reservation and came in on the day. The staff was very professional and courteous. Mike was very honest. He could have easily charged me for over an hour of labor, but since it only took 30 minutes, that's what he charged me for. I appreciate the honesty and the professionalism. I will be back anytime I need anything hitch related.
Renting from this location was the best decision I made! It was everything you wanted when it came down customer service, convenience and a great rental experience. The entire transaction was smooth! From the reservations to the drop off! Johnathon, Shane and Victor were excellent with assisting me with everything! An experience like this makes you want to return! I will use this location for all my future rentals! Thanks for making my rental experience awesome!
The employees refuse to fill propane tanks when it’s colder, snowy, getting dark, or just because they don’t feel like working. Horrible customer service and lazy employees, and manager Mike is fine with it.
Never has anybody working. It might be staffed, but nobody that works here works.also it taking more then 25 min for propane is crazy. Probably bc you all forget about people that you all told to wait. Like plz for the people that read this, stay away.
I use U-Haul every time I move at this specific location. I never had any issues until today. I recently put my items in storage almost a month ago and used U-Haul. I went to this location today and was assisted by the manager Ilene. Ilene decided to to charge me for whatever milage she wanted at her discretion was her exact words. When asked , why did you charge me for 50 miles she stated that she is reenforcing a policy that requires her to do this. When i explained to her this never occurred and the cashier next to us ask the previous customer how many miles does he estimate to drive. She entered that number. I called the Customer Care Department and she tried to switch her story up stating she did that based off my old ID. I honestly feel I was discriminated against. She never stated that initially. And your company should be embarrassed by your staff and establishment due to this mistreatment. Also her poor reasoning for justifying why she charged me an upfront quadruple mileage charge i needed was because there had been theft in the past and damage to the trucks. I explained well that’s insurance is for. I cancelled my reservation shortly after our discussion and went to another U-Haul location and I had excellent customer service provided by Ray Cicero, IL. The rep there ask me how many miles and DID NOT AUTOMATICALLY decide for me. Please treat your customers with respect. I no longer will do business at this specific location. Please save your money and go to a different location. The manager needs training.
