I upgraded my phone yesterday. The young lady who helped me was great! Very experienced and knowledgeable. It took awhile to transfer my data to the new phone but they have no control over that. Everyone there was friendly and patient with me and I love my new phone!!
I’ve been with us cellular for almost 20 years and I am very impressed with the staff at the east state location!! Michael was absolutely amazing, informative, and professional!! He took his time explaining everything and got me the best possible plan and products!! Thank you
I came in in regards to a cracked screen on my phone to see what my options were about either transferring data to an old phone, having the screen somehow fixed, or to see if any replacement options were on the table. Jaimee was super kind and very informative about the steps I had to take in having my phone replaced and luckily for me, my phone had device protection on it! Jaimee informed me that all I needed to do was submit a claim online and if I was lucky enough, a replacement same make and model too! could be delivered to me by the end of the day! The claim process was easy to fill out and thankfully it would seem that I will be able to get the replacement before the day is up. I am very appreciative of the help and information Jaimee provided me with and would certainly recommend swinging on in to this location if you have any issues with your phone! : Edit: Sure enough, I received my replacement phone before the end of the day and it works like a charm! If I could add more than just five stars, I absolutely would!
5 Stars isn’t enough for Melissa an Chris at the east state US Cellular store . Lost my phone while working at golf course , Melissa went above an beyond helping me with getting replacement through insurance, no help from them she saved me $$$$ with my plan an got a iPhone 14 pro. Chris got it setup an going with all the accessories. Apple service a diamond in the ruff , got my iCloud transferred too …. Thanks to all !
Chris helped me get set up with my new phone tonight and explained everything in a way that I could understand. His humor and general friendliness made the process of switching fun.
This company will lie to you about about speed throttling on unlimited apart from that great phones and selection of accessories
Stopped in to get help w call volume for the ear pieceit needed to be cleaned. The Mgr informed me that I would no longer be able to make calls with my s9 shortly after the new year. "They're phasing out your phone. Good timing though, we have a great deal going right now." I didnt have the time that day. Stopped in again last Sunday and got rude service bc I stopped in close to closing time. I apologized to emploee for having stopped in at all. So today, since the deal was done on the 5th of oct, I stopped in on 173. Guess what I found out-that Mgr lied. 3g is being phased out, not 4g. I don't need a new phone. What can you do except shake your head at terrible customer service. BTW, I've been w uscellular since the 90s, maybe its time
Went to E State location in Rockford for additional service, got a text after 5 mins they taking our number to head back in the store as we were 2nd in line to be helped shortly, 1.5 hrs later 2 consultants went home with no word acknowledgement just to let us know how long we still have to wait. We’re existing customers and felt ignored and not given importance since there is no upsell expected to make. Bottom line it is very poor customer service to existing patrons.
Took my elderly sister to remove her deceased husband from the account and never had such poor service. She's been a customer for 30 years, had the same phone and this was our 4th attempt to resolve this situation. She went a few years ago but they needed her husband. Went back with him who had dementia and had no idea who he was. Went again after he passed and needed a death certificate. Mir, the rude customer service rep said she could change the account and get a new phone with a discount on a promotion. She's paid a minimum of $1800 on service for the last several years which her husband did not use. After the phone was picked out the rep denied saying anything about a promotion. Started getting disrespectful with her, mind you she is 84 years old, so I and her daughter stepped in and I blatantly told him he was rude and it wouldn't be tolerated and we wanted a manager. Some rent a cop security wanted us to leave and wanted me to step outside which I refused. So the manager named Melissa who was no better than Mir took over. I told her that she and her Employee owed my sister an apology. She refused and basically said that they did not. I go through Sprint/T-mobile and have for years and have never been treated this way. I wanted to respect my sister's wishes who wanted to stay with US Cellular but I would do without a cell phone before I went with them. I would rate them a minus 5 stars.
I returned to US Cellular about 2 years ago largely because of there excellent customer service they offer. However after my visit to the East State st store in Rockford today I'm doubting that decision. I went to the store today in part to get some pricing on a new phone. I have found in the past that the pricing on the US Cellular website if often inaccurate for existing customers. I was attempting to figure out how I could find accurate pricing for the phone I want. The man helping me was incredibly rude, snappy and very unhelpful. I left the store with absolutely no pricing and no idea where to find the correct pricing. All he would tell me was that he did not handle US Cellulars website duh! and they do not currently have any promotions. If you must visit this location stear clear of Joaino he had an unusual name so I may have misspelled it. All the other staff who has helped me in the past have been fantastic. Update: I was have phone trouble today 5/10/22 and had to go into the store. I was able to speak to a very kind and helpful man who seems to have solved my issues unfortunately I have forgotten his name but he was fantastic. I would give this visit 5 stars.
