We came in without a reservation and we're helped by the only person working Adam who was kind to everyone who came out. Right as they were closing we realized our storage unit was too small for the furniture we were moving and raced to get to the office as they closed he chose to assist us even though I'm sure he was finished for the day and we were able to finish moving our stuff into storage. Adam gave exceptional customer service and went above and beyond to ensure that our needs were meet, and he deserves recognition. Thank you Adam.
This was the BEST uhaul I've ever been to. I was early for my order but the associate was so helpful and nice! She gathered all my items quickly which was tons of stuff. The place is very big, clean and fully stocked with everything. I wish all Uhaul facilities were like this one. Great customer service! Thank you!
Friendly staff. At pickup, with appointment, truck front window caked with snow. Had to remove the rental placard from interior front window. The driver-side sun visor was broken. The driver door did not close tight, resulting in excessive wind noise. The vehicle was not fully-fueled and the gas gauge was extremely slow to respond, making it impossible to match the starting fuel level and causing the tank to be filled, costing more than it should have for fuel. The location is clean and easy to find/access.
I want to thank Caleb for his excellent customer service. It was my first time renting a storage unit and he was very helping guiding me through the process.
Respectful, patient, team spirited....ALL in one place! Thanks guys and Blessed Season. How much more can one ask for? So far this knowledgeable team have let me into a few options I've never heard of in 24 Years of my rental history with uHaul across the country!!
Staff were friendly and helpful. Trunk drove well and prices were not too insane.

Update: Today, the next day, we arrived to get our truck-for a third time. There is one person working. We arrived at 9:30 per Lauren who agreed it would be best so that workers could settle in and get the trucks ready because they open at 9. It is now 10:52 and there are tons of people waiting for their items who have been waiting over an hour. Once again, by the time we get a truck it is the hottest part of the day again. This is incredibly bad service. Stay away! Totally ruined our move and made it very difficult for us to accomplish the timeline we have. Now we get to move with an open trailer in the RAIN. Original post: We reserved the truck online. We were called the day before our move to be told that they won’t have the 26’ truck we reserved and told us we could have a 20’ truck instead. We chose to make do with the 20’. The next morning when we arrived we were told that neither the 26’ truck or the 20’ truck were available. No one thought to call us to let us know? We were then told to come back at 1:30 and were promised a truck then. It’s early August, the hottest and most humid part of the year and today is not an exception! We were not planning to make our help work during the hottest part of the day! We arrived again at 2:00 to be told they didn’t have a truck-again, WHY COULD THEY NOT CALL US TO LET US KNOW?!? The manager Lauren told us to ‘maybe come back tomorrow’. What is the purpose of reservations if you don’t get the item that is meant to be reserved!? They have completely killed our moving weekend, and now we will have to move without any help. Great job uhaul on Lakewood, your customer service is truly the worst we have encountered, and moving is no new task for us. What a complete disregard for accountability, service, our time, and mindful communication. Poor taste. This is not the name of uhaul that we can try on.
You no longer need to stand in line to simply say, “I am here to return the truck.” U-Haul makes it simple — just use your cellphone, take pictures of the truck, and complete the online form — u are off in less than five minutes.
We’ve gone through this uhaul a few different times now. The insides of the uhaul truck was never cleaned. Always had trash and dirt caked into every crevice in sight. We didn’t say anything because at the end of the day… it’s not my vehicle. However, now we are unable to complete reservations. The uhaul website allows us to place reservations but the employees do not update their inventory— we are able to reserve equipment that “they don’t have”. Even though uhaul has a $50 reservation guarantee, there is nothing being done about it. They canceled the uhaul truck because they didn’t also have a trailer available. Now we are unable to rent either… it doesn’t make any sense to me.
