3DPC promotes awareness and understanding of current and future 3D printing technologies, and introduces students to the use of 3D printers.
3DPC is more than a club of geeky enthusiasts, its the manifestation of a critical UCONN crossroads that supersedes departmental divides to bring together students and staff from across the campus/region to create in an atmosphere that knows no hierarchy
We offer students the ability to learn about and explore 3D printing and associated technologies including 3D Design (CAD) & 3D scanning. Learn how to operate, calibrate, and maintain 3d printers.
We do outreach presentations to schools, libraries, and small businesses. We compete in 3d printing competitions (and win!). We explore the use of new 3d printing materials such as flexible, translucent, magnetic, carbon fiber, color-changing, and glow in the dark! We install printers/software and train beginners. We collaborate with you to design, modify, create and construct.
