The Office of Residence Life provides an exciting opportunity for students to enrich their college experience through involvement in the University of Evansville residential community. Dedicated to providing an environment that encourages personal development and learning, the Office of Residence Life strives to provide quality facilities, services and programs that support student needs.
Goals:
• To provide students opportunities to further enhance their academic experience
• To work closely with key campus offices to provide quality facilities and services
• To aid students in obtaining service and support related to their living experience
• To help students understand and adhere to University policies
• To assist students in becoming familiar with campus resources
• To provide opportunities for personal growth in the following areas:
o Choosing healthy behaviors and a satisfying and productive lifestyle
o Utilizing effective communication and working together with others
o Participating in leadership opportunities and practicing social responsibility
o Forming meaningful interpersonal relationships
o Exploration of personal ethics, values and spiritual meaning
o Understanding and appreciating diversity
o Establishing independence and self-awareness, identifying a career path, achieving personal and educational goals
• To provide an atmosphere that encourages students to:
o explore and learn new ideas, concepts, and skills
o critically examine and integrate key learning experiences
