No issues with the gym itself, my issue is that i have cancelled my membership and I’m still being charged. After doing everything I needed to do to cancel I was told that since in my contract they already charged me a “last month fee” I would not be charged again, I have that in writing. Last month I was charged again and after contacting them again with no solution I was able to reverse the charge with my bank, and again UFC charged me. The woman I was emailing told me she has submitted a refund request and it is pending, so I have been waiting and nothing has happened. On top of all that I see my membership cancellation is still pending, I read the contract over and over it is pretty basic, so it makes no sense why this is happening, I have tried to remove my CC from the system and I won’t let me, I never thought that I’d have to cancel CC in order to get out of a gym membership, I noticed this is happening to other people as well. No one is being helpful, signing up takes 5 minutes but canceling takes forever. The definition of a scam.
Staff are really friendly. Very clean. I like the atmosphere. My only complaint is the size. Can be difficult to get your workouts completed at high capacity times. However, choosing the right time makes this gym heaven.
The gym itself is great... But i moved from CA to FL. It's been 4 months and I am still being charged for a membership. I have sent 3 emails each month and have called the gym directly and corporate. Signing a membership here is harder to cancel then my Army contract. Awful way to run a business.
I attended a demo for personal training at this location with Rachel Kawa. She was very knowledgeable, kind and respectful. You can tell she is very passionate about health and nutrition and she is a professional at her craft. She made sure I was comfortable as It was my first time meeting with a personal trainer. She herself is a power lifter and I could tell so I knew I was in good hands. If anyone is looking to get a personal trainer she is the right person for the job.
UFC gym is a scam. Don’t trust them with your credit card. They will literally steal money from your account, sign you up for classes you never agreed to etc. i used to be a member. I was offered a free boxing class, and was charged every week for months for classes I never signed up for. I tried to quit, and they make that impossible too. Manager must be on duty, and manager is never available. Otherwise they force you to MAIL them a signed contact to quit. If you cancel the card on file, they will send the bill to collections, get harassed by debt collectors, and damage your credit score. I lost thousands of dollars and missed opportunity due to damaged credit score. UFC gym is a disgrace. Fay Marakas should be in jail for fraud.
My friend was also charged after she cancelled. Also, the front desks person a tall black male was very rude to customers whose first language is not English.
Fantastic gym with great coaches, managers, and people! Aden Salah-Hadad is a fantastic coach, I would still be training there with him if I didn't move! Adin the sales guy is great too and the Manager Jazmyne Hodges was very helpful! Highly recommend!
Good gym, no regrets. The only downside is they close at 8 pm on the weekends.
This gym is definitely hands down the best in Costa Mesa! Great staff they have a sauna! The general manager is awesome!!
Honestly it a good gym just hate the hours on the weekend it should be open at least till 11pm hopefully they fit that issue for better gym access time.
