A cost- and time-effective source of education, training and skill development offered by Cooperative Extension for Nevada's green industry.
Green Industry Training is NOT Nursery Worker Training renamed. It is a new, more cost- and time-effective approach to serving the plant industries of northern Nevada.
Green Industry Training is a series of entry-level classes in topics important to the plant industry. Course participants can select individual classes that meet their needs, at a cost of $15 per class, or they can choose to enroll in the entire course for a discounted price of $80.
Full-course participants will receive a certificate confirming that they’ve attended University of Nevada Cooperative Extension’s Green Industry Training. Individual-class participants will receive a certificate of attendance for the individual class topic.
Classes are taught by University of Nevada Cooperative Extension Horticulture staff and local industry professionals.
Green Industry Training is one service to the northern Nevada green industry that University of Nevada Cooperative Extension's commercial horticulture program provides. Led by Northern Area Horticulture Specialist, Heidi Kratsch, Green Industry Training seeks to fill the green industry's need for education, training and skill development.
