Drove 25 miles to see Dawn of the Dead 3-D High prices, stale popcorn. Outdated soda machine, no butter to manually put on your popcorn. Outdated seats, no recliner, not able to lift armrest to get closer to date. Bad sound, apathetic staff. Very uncomfortable movie experience. Never would go back or recommend to anyone. The place was very clean.
Been to a theater in a while? Tickets are about the same rip off. Food is no longer affordable. A small bag of Doritos with a side of squeeze chz n a cpl jalapenos now qualifies as a nacho and cost $9. On the plus side you now get entire theatres to yourselves and it's pretty quiet.
I must preface this by saying I'm sure others must've had a less creepy experience, and overall it's probably a decent enough place to see a movie, but my wife and I felt we were actually in a horror movie. Other than one person working the concession stand, two in the guest services area, and one more sweeping off to the side, we were the only ones there. We saw no other patrons the entire time. The hallway was dark and silent. We didn't have to worry about bothering people who were also seeing a movie, because there weren't any. After the movie, we each used the bathroom. She told me the lights kept flickering in hers. In mine, there was the sound of grinding pipes the whole time, and once I left, I heard a big crash inside. Again, no one else was in there. All in all, a very creepy Overlook Hotel vibe, but I'm sure that's not a common experience. Although I wouldn't be surprised to discover it had actually closed 20 years ago after a horrible accident. Also, when I saw other reviewers mentioning high concessions prices, my first thought was "movie theaters always overcharge." Then I went there. Yes, these prices seemed higher than most other theaters.
Went Sunday to screen the movie Nope, by Jordan Peele. Seats are VERY VERY uncomfortable. Sound quality not that good. 30 minutes of nothing but previews. Staff don't communicate with adults well. Snacks cost a fortune and the popcorn tasted "repopped". Medium soft drink was huge! They do have some nostalgic arcade games in the lobby and common areas were very clean. Enjoyed having the theater all to ourselves though. Especially in light of the recent pandemic. Although its in definite need of upgrades and an infusion of happiness and excitement energy, it was an ok place. Worst: seats, way too many previews. Best: Having the theater all to ourselves. P.S. My wife swears she didn't see the popcorn popper. She said when she ordered, the concessions agent went to the back to get it. .
Very clean and well kept ghost town. Seats a bit small, but overall, great place to see a flick without worrying about crowding.
This is an great, big sized, old fashioned theater where you don't need to pre order tickets. It's a calm, cool theater where you'll enjoy watching movies movies whether it's with your friends or family or by yourself solo.
Not many people at this location. The seats are not the newer type that some places have. No lines. Pepsi and a few other beverages. Good popcorn.
Nice screen. Lots of seats . Sound was a little low when we watched .. not high quality sound. Pop corn and other stuff was so expensive. Good experience overall.
Went there Saturday at 8PM to see Black Adam...ordered to popcorn and they asked me if I'd just like one. It was because they only had crumbs left and said they were about to shut down...it was only 8PM!!! I cancelled my entire concession order.
Very nice theatre. We've been going during the day with my grandsons.i would give 5 stars but the cost of refreshments is outrageous. I know they need to make a profit but $6.00 for a fountain drink, geez!
