So everyone thinks that all military Recruiters lie and that they will tell you whatever you want to hear right? Well...This is definitely not the case with these recruiters at all! These are the most honest and trustworthy recruiters you’ll ever find!! If you are looking to join ANY branch of the military definitely go talk to them first! They will be straight forward with you and help guide you if you are thinking about joining. There is also a very comfortable family atmosphere in the office that is nice. Go talk to them! You will not be disappointed!
This Navy recruiting office was a very friendly and realistic environment. When walking into talk to the Navy before enlisting I really appreciated that they didn't force me into enlisting that day. Instead, they told me to do more research and start studying for the ASAVB if I was serious about joining; which ended up being the main reason why I enlisted in the Navy instead of Air Force. I have never felt pressed and they always ask if I'm excited and still happy with my decision. At this office, I feel like even though the recruiters benefit off of me they still seem to care which I have found rare to come across with recruiters
The staff at this office are incredibly helpful, personable and professional. Initially, I was hesitant to visit since I had negative experiences with both Army and Airforce recruiters. After a quick phone call with petty officer McCarthy, I was set up with an appointment immediately where I had to wait weeks with other branches. Overall I am glad to have chose the navy and even happier I enlisted through Navy Recruiting Command in Arvada.
when I began my journey to join the navy, I was considered overweight. I walked into this office to my very welcoming recruiter Petty Officer Gibson. I struggled to lose weight so that I could be healthy for the navy, while working two full time jobs. My recruiter, nor the other recruiters in this office never gave up with my and continued to see my potential through my sparkling personality. after the first month of speaking to the recruiters, I lost 15 pounds. I later hit a plateau that had me stuck in one general area of weight for quite a while. I began to lose hope and faith. I entered the office and began to cry because I was no longer making the progress I wished. instead of being disappointed, they understood. EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM IN THE OFFICE UNDERSTOOD! I was not shunned, or got any dirty looks. instead, they gave me helpful tips with nutrition and fitness to help me get over that hump, AND I MADE IT ! There is a lovely PT program as well as military knowledge training. This office was extremely forthcoming, honest, straightforward, compassionate, and understanding. I cant imagine having gone to any other office but here!!
I had every waiver needed to enlist into the Navy and since that was my case no recruiting office was willing to help me until I called the Arvada station and spoke with Sr.Chief Furnish. He is now running the office in Arvada and I deeply apologize for the guy running it prior but again Sr.Chief worked with me for 9 months until he finally got me into the Navy! I am so glad for all the help, despite all of my issues from GED to College credits to tattoo waivers, he helped me all the way through. I highly recommend this office. If you ask me this office is better than any other in Colorado!!! Ask for Chief Furnish and tell him Future Sailor Winston sent ya!
This recruiting station has some of the most helpful people I have ever encountered. I don't even live in Denver but I went in to ask advice because other recruiters were playing games and Petty Officer Gibson told me exactly what to do and what to tell my recruiters in Las Vegas. To me, this office went beyond their duty and helped me when they did not have to and genuinely want to help people succeed.
Less than a year ago, My life was nowhere near where I wanted it to be. I was 24 years old, married and working a 9-5 job making a buck or two above minimum wage. Being an US Resident didn't really help my options either, but the lack of schooling hurt me the most. I decided to "take a risk" and try and join the military, since the benefits seemed great. I started my journey at the Longmont Navy Office, which became a terrible experience due to the fact that I was not given enough information when I asked for it, and was never called back to begin my paperwork. I grew tired of waiting and decided to visit the Recruiting Office with the best reviews, even though it was nowhere near me. Senior Chief Furnish took great care of me and my wife. He took the time to go over all my options and answer all of the questions we had. It took less than a week before I completely joined the Navy and was on my path to success. Before shipping out to bootcamp, Senior Chief Furnish took it upon himself to give me several 1 on 1 guidance sessions to plan out my timeline of goals that it should seek to accomplish in my career to better myself and move up in Rank quickly. Through my many acquaintance in Bootcamp and A-School, I only found a good 5 people who thought they had good recruiters. The great majority of people had terrible experiences and joined blindly just to "get it done", without guidance. When I spoke of how well I was treated and guided before Shipping out, many thought I was lying until I pulled out the Timelines Senior Chief had prepared for me for my success. This made me realize how blessed I was to have joined in one of the best recruiting stations in all of the United States. Here I am now, less than and year in the Navy, ranked up once already and I'm preparing myself to go on my first tour overseas. I make more than double what I was making before, with the marriage benefits the Navy provides me and also became a US Citizen before Bootcamp was even over. The Navy itself is amazing, but without proper guidance...you could be one of the many who are completely lost in what to expect and what to accomplish while in the Navy. Senior Chief Furnish takes care of ALL of his people...do yourself a favor and start your journey among the best.
Hello I am FN Bejarano and I was born and raised in Colorado. I had a idea of what I wanted to do but I was lost after I graduated high school. So I started working and I was making good money 20 dollars an hour but I also wanted to join the military. I asked around before I did anything. I decided to check out a few recruiting stations to talk about my situation. I ended up being most comfortable with the navy recruiting station in Arvada because they had an answer to every question I had. Chief Furnish who is now Senior Chief was my recruiter... he never asked me to do more then what I wanted. He never forced me to start doing anything, he left it all up to me. When Chief Furnish wasn't there, Petty Officer Frazee was there to answer questions I had later thought of down the road. They never called me a million times but they did tell me they where going to call me a few weeks out to see if I still was thinking about joining or I knew where there office stop by anytime. It was nice to have control of my future and the office did not push to do something else because I failed the test a few times and they motivated me providing the tools I needed to succeed on the ASVAB. It really is a great recruiting office. If you feel like talking to someone, everybody there is like a friend that you can talk to. They will give you the advice you can take with you in the future.
This is the best dang recruiting office I’ve ever been to! Every recruiter has been completely honest with me and helped me with my journey into the navy. I’ve been to quite a few recruiting stations and this one by far has helped me out the most. I highly recommend joining the navy through this office.
When I first came into the office, I didn't have any intentions on joining the navy. The recruiters here, Petty Officer Wieck and Petty Officer Gibson, helped me understand the process and what would benefit me by being in the Navy. A month later, I had signed a contract. Because of Petty Officer Gibson, I am now more excited than ever to be leaving to boot camp in February.
