I would not be the least bit surprised if the postal service as we know it becomes extinct. Think about that... those individuals who hate their jobs may soon get their wish of unemployment. IF our mail carrier decides to show up usually after 8pm, we have to cross our fingers that we actually get our mail. We've been finding mail in a ditch a block away... or in neighbors mailboxes... or days of no mail delivery. We can't trust to put outgoing mail in our box... we have to actually drive to the post office and drop it off. This is pathetic and sad.
Extremely disappointed. I mailed a package to my friend in California two months ago. The expected delivery day is 2 days. I paid EXTRA to have it delivered early. However, waited for a week, the package never arrived. I checked the tracking number and it said package is lost or arriving late. I visited USPS in person to ask for a reason, they said package might be lost and I should submit a claim to receive a refund. Ask if I could do the claim in person, they said no, the only way to get a refund is online claim. Submitted my claim two weeks ago, received a denial letter saying packaged was delivered without any proofs of delivery or date of delivery. Doubled check my tracking number again, thought it might have lost in my front porch. Tracking number is either not found or error message contact usps for more information. So while my package was not delivered on time, lost. I won't be able to get a refund because usps said it was delivered without any proofs/image that it was delivered. Just Submitted an appeal claim, will see how they response but for now 1/5 stars for bad and neglected services.
Terrible service and rude attitudes. It feels like all the employees here hate their jobs. Maybe change your career?? Do ya'll not get paid or something? Seriously, you dont have to work here if you hate it that much. One time at the post office when it was *finally* my turn in line, I asked the younger white lady a genuine question about my package, and she just let out an audible LOUD sigh and rolled her eyes at me. Then she just pointed to the back row of envelopes behind me. which didn'teven answer my question No words were spoken or nothing. This isn't the only instance of these employees being rude either, ALL of them are petty for no reason. Would give -5 stars if I could.
I've been ordering mail order clothing and medicine. I've had 5 packages scanned as delivered and recieved notification saying they were delivered, but have not received them. Labels are printed clearly, so it's not an issue to illegible writing. So either the route driver is stealing my packages, or delivering my packages to the wrong address and my neighbors aren't honest. I signed up for the program that tells you what mail is to be delivered and it never seems to be any letters, but it's ALWAYS packages that go missing. DO BETTER!
THEY LITERALLY DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE, if you need help you’ll have to go down there. All voicemails options are FULL. They purposely send calls to voicemails for this reason. Phone rang twice before I was sent to voicemail, tried all 3 options, SAME THING. No answer. They have stank attitudes and your presence alone is an inconvenience to them. Do not bother with the online chat box either, No Agents are available.
I've spent 20 minutes on the phone talking to their bot in a failed attempt to get an answer to one simple question: is my package pick up at the one on Mcdonough or in Down Town joliet. They need to rethink their system. If they let the phone ring at the post office, a human would've been able to answer in about 20 seconds
Long wait times. Inefficient attendants. Rude costumer service. I would rather drive 20 minutes out of my way in Plainfield than deal with this location.
This post office continues to put the wrong mail in my mailbox Important mail was delivered to my mailbox like people social security check, link card & etc. Of course I gave it to my neighbors, when delivering to apartment complexes, you can't make mistakes with important mail, because some of these people who live in these apartment complexes look up to part, but they're very rough and are always looking for a come up. Some very important mail was suppose to be delivered to my apartment weeks ago and it still hasn't came. I bet you they put it in the wrong mailbox. After this occurring situation with the post office, I'm getting my mail delivered to my parents home from now on.
I put a hold on my mail and went to pick it up, the guy there was so rude and unprofessional that i just left, I wasnt in the mood to match that energy. The next day I went in ready for a battle and instead I encountered Talisha apologies if i spelled her name wrong She was so kind and patient and went above and beyond to help me. I appreciate great customer service and she provided it.
I've had horrible experiences with this post office. First of all, I had an item come internationally via EMS about $200 item, and the Post Office gave it to Amazon. How? Apparently instead of sorting through the EMS packages and separating the local ones from the ones going to Amazon they gave ALL of the EMS packages to Amazon. Second, at times items don't get delivered late in the day when their tracking says delivered. Someone is scanning these packages in, and then they don't deliver them until the next day! So you can't track it with GPS. Frankly that shouldn't be an issue. I don't know what those working here are doing- but it's not their job. I'm sure they don't get paid enough to do the job well but at least get it done.
