Waited on line to send a simple package for over 30 mins due to only 2 windows opened doing passport apps. I’m sure they were being helped long before I showed up. There should be a separate window for that. The line was out the door on a Summer afternoon. Horrible service here.
I accompanied my mom to apply for her passport. She was soo excited but that excitement was changed to anxiety and awful experience. When we reached the window PETER was the clerk without acknowledgment and in a very condescending tone he just said “hand me everything”. He then gave a paper to my mom and said “don’t make a mistake, read carefully”. My mom’s english is not the greatest and because of that she panicked and started to get anxious. I called out the guy and mentioned that he is making my mom uncomfortable and unease. During the payment I asked him how come I am paying $130 and what I saw in the USPS website is only $33. his answer was “because the government wants you to pay that. Show me where you saw the $33.”. After he submitted my mom’s paper he again challenged me by sating “sooo where did you see the $33?” instead of explaining things he just want to prove his authority. No manners and poor customer service.
I was trying to mail my wedding invitations and the post office no longer makes wedding stamps, they only dried flower bouquet looks more like flowers for a funeral and roses with the word peace if it said love that would work. I finally found a flower stamp that would work and it’s a new design and no one has it you have to order. It’s ridiculous if I knew all this I would’ve just done online invites and saved a lot of money. Thank you again post office for ruining my wedding invites.
Standing here for 35 minutes already with 4 people in front of me, the same customer at the 1 person working behind the window. The line goes around back through post office boxes and around and no one comes out to open another window.
Great place to get your mail! Very fast, very efficient, and super nice people. Joseph is the best, he is the best postal service person I have ever met and he know his stuff. The man has perfected his art and deserves a raise if possible, if not then recognition.
I wish there were more stars to give! This post is for our wonderful, amazing, caring, happy West End mail carriers Allison and Rich. Smiles every day and they go above and beyond for the entire West End. I am beyond grateful for them and want our post office to know how absolutely amazing they are! Thank you for all you do each and every day Allison & Rich, you make our community a happier place!
Slowest, worst post office on Long Island.
Very nice and friendly people. When I first moved down here a year ago they were very help setting up my PO Box. There was only one rude woman I've dealt with and refuse to go to her window. Everyone else bends over backwards to help you.
After 3 trips to pickup a package from my PO Box, I still don't have it. Each time there's a long, slow line. I don't have time to wait.
After living in Brooklyn NY which has a gigantic main PO with a hundred employees all of whom are on a coffee break at the same time, this PO is a breath of fresh air. They are quick, professional, and friendly. They even answer the phone sometimes!
