University Hospital & Clinics (UHC) is a full-service, acute care hospital that serves Acadiana as its primary graduate medical education center by training residents and fellows, cultivating physicians for the future. The hospital is licensed for 116 beds and is Acadiana’s largest provider of primary care and specialist appointments for patients that have Medicaid or are under-insured.
